Ganjafama:Satan is the instigator of all evil. Satan na like that rat wey go bite you, at the same time dey blow you breeze. One must not come with a knife, and start to slaughter, before he can be taged evil. A person that tells me to disobey my father, that person is evil, if he tells me to steal, lie, fornicate, to kill, and to hate, that person does not have my interest. The main strategy of satan is deception. That is why scripture speaks of "the wiles of the devil" (Eph 6:11) and affirms that he is a deceiver (Gen 3:13; 2 cor. 11:3). Jesus calls the father of lies (Jn 8:44). Satan has the ability to decieve, manipulate, and distort our natural feelings and desires. Using this ability, he tempts us to meet God-given needs and desires outside the parameters which God has established for us. Three factors contribute to satan's mastery of the art of trickery. 1. He belongs to an order of creatures that is higher than man. Originally, he was created as the anointed cherub who execelled all angels in beauty, wisdom, and power (Ezek 28:12-15). 2. His experience is greater than any man's could ever be. Although he is not omniscient, yet his wide experience and observation of mankind for more than 6000 years makes him far superior in knowledge to any man. 3. His ability to tranform himself in a variety of ways gives him great power of deception. Peter affirms that "the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom he may devour" (1 pet 5: ![]() 1 Like |

MuttleyLaff:Let us critically examine this: Based on the bible, there are only three kinds of angels that have the awe-inspiring privilege to stand in the presence of God. 1. Seraphim: Literally translated "burning ones," the word seraph is a synonym for serpents when used in the bible, mentioned in isaiah 6:1-7. Seraphim are considered to be the highest angelic class and they serve as the caretakers of God's throne and continously shout praises to God. 2. Cherubim: They are four facet, one of a man, an ox, a lion, and an eagle. They have four cone wings covered with eyes, a lions body figure with ox's feet (Ezekiel 1:4-27; Rev 4:6- ![]() 3. Thrones: The twenty four elders, are class of celetial beings mentioned by paul in colossians 1:16, and in Rev 4:4. The most influential christian angelic hierarchy was that put forward by Peudo Dionysius the Areopagite in 4th or 5th century, in his book De Coelestia Hierarchia (on the celestial Hierarchy). First Sphere. 1. Seraphim 2. Cherubim 3. Thrones Second Sphere 1. Dominions 2. Virtues 3. Powers Third Sphere 1. Principalities 2. Archangels 3. Angels The saga for the control and kingship of the kingdom of heaven is the bible's core theme from Genesis to Revelation. In Genesis God sent cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life Genesis 3:24. Whenever there is war, one Archangel comes on the scene (Micheal). |

@Muttleylaff. I'm impressed at the way and manner at which you try to analyse the scriptures. Your precision amazes me. May God increase you with wisdom and striength. However, we must treat the "Angel" concept with care, so as not to mix up the whole thing with human assumptions, for our knowledge is quite vague when it comes to that. The term or prefix "arch" is Greek for ruling or chief. Archangels are only mentioned twice in the bible, and only one angel is specifically called an archangel, micheal. The only other time the archangel appears in the bible is to do with the end of time. Both of these cases, speak of a singular archangel which could suggest that there is only one arch or ruler angel and that is micheal. The bible never specifically stated if satan was an ex-archangel. We only know, he was called a cherub.

The bible never really kept us in the dark as to if satan was an angel. Metaphorically speaking, we were made to understand that satan was not just an ordinary angel, he was a cherubim. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and i have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou was perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore i will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and i will destroy thee O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire (Ezekiel 28:14-16). Note, here "stones of fire" denotes Angels. THIS IS WHAT LEAD TO HIS FALL. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou has said in thine heart, i will ascend into heaven, i will exalt my throne above the stars of God: i will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the side of the north: i will ascend above the heights of clouds; i will be like the most high (Isaiah 14:12-14). Satan as an angel, and fall from heaven is symbolically described in Isaiah 14:12-14 and Ezekiel 28:12-18. While these two ages are referring specifically to the kings of Babylon and Tyre, they also represent the spiritual power behind those kings. 5 Likes |

Today is predicted to (again) be the end of the world. But there have been 153 doomsday prophecies; made by scholars, preachers, revolutionists, great men of old.. None came true. Jesus said: But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the son of man be (Matthew 24:36-37). Don't be deceived. Jesus will return in God's timing, not ours. And i say to you brethren: watch and pray. |

Dantata means son of tata in hausa language. He was named after the woman that raised him, because his mother left him and travelled to Ghana, after the death of his father. His father's name is Abdullahi. But today, he's popularly known as Alhassan dantata.

His mother left him and his brothers at the hand of an old woman name "Tata," and travelled to Ghana. That was how he got the name dantata, which means "son of tata" in hausa language. He was later sent to the almajiri school. Dantata begged for food at some point in his life. He was once sold into slavery, but he later regained his freedom. He became a kolanut seller in kano, and from there moved on to become the wealthiest man in west africa at the time of his death. 2 Likes |

Jessicha:Jesus did not go to a place of torment after His death, but He did go to hades. Sheol/hades was a realm with two divisions—a place of blessing and a place of judgment ( Matthew 11:23; 16:18; Luke 10:15; 16:23; Acts 2:27–31). The abodes of the saved and the lost are both generally called “hades” in the Bible. The abode of the saved is also called “Abraham’s bosom” (KJV) or “Abraham’s side” (NIV) in Luke 16:22 and “paradise” in Luke 23:43. The abode of the unsaved is called “hell” (KJV) or “Hades” (NIV) in Luke 16:23. The abodes of the saved and the lost are separated by a “great chasm” ( Luke 16:26). When Jesus died, He went to the blessed side of sheol and, from there, took the believers with Him to heaven ( Ephesians 4:8– 10). The judgment side of sheol/ hades has remained unchanged. All unbelieving dead go there awaiting their final judgment in the future. Did Jesus go to sheol/hades? Yes, according to Ephesians 4:8–10 and 1 Peter 3:18–20. Some of the confusion has arisen from such ages as Psalm 16:10–11 as translated in the King James Version: “For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. . . . Thou wilt show me the path of life.” “Hell” is not a correct translation in this verse. A correct reading would be “the grave” or “sheol.” Jesus said to the thief beside Him, “Today you will be with me in paradise” ( Luke23:43); He did not say, “I will see you in hell.” Jesus’ body was in the tomb; His soul/spirit went to be with the blessed in sheol/hades. Unfortunately, in many versions of the Bible, translators are not consistent, or correct, in how they translate the Hebrew and Greek words for “sheol,” "hades,” and “hell.” people usually have the viewpoint that Jesus went to “hell” or the suffering side of sheol/hades in order to further be punished for our sins. This idea is completely unbiblical. It was the death of Jesus on the cross that sufficiently provided for our redemption. It was His shed blood that effected our own cleansing from sin ( 1 John 1:7–9) . As He hung there on the cross, He took the sin burden of the whole human race upon Himself. He became sin for us: “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” ( 2 Corinthians 5:21). This imputation of sin helps us understand Christ’s struggle in the garden of Gethsemane with the cup of sin which would be poured out upon Him on the cross. As Jesus neared death, He said, “ It is finished” (John 19:30). His suffering in our place was completed. His soul/spirit went to hades (the place of the dead). Jesus did not go to “hell” or the suffering side of hades; He went to “Abraham’s side” or the blessed side of hades. Jesus’ suffering ended the moment He died. The payment for sin was paid. He then awaited the resurrection of His body and His return to glory in His ascension. |

johnydon22:I think the real problem is that of downplaying sin. You find it shockingly unfair that the recompense for a mere lifetime of sinning should be an eternal punishment. Or maybe you reject the idea of hell because, in your mind, sin isn’t all that bad. Certainly not bad enough to warrant eternal torture. You are angry because, you cannot live the kind of life that God requires. Sin appeals more to you. And if hell is the penalty for sin, then there is no need for the existence of a God, hence God is barbaric, and hell is not justifiable. No wonder Jesus said: And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because there deeds were evil. For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved (John 3:19-20). Believe it or not, take or leave it. Hell is real. 1 Like 1 Share |

hahn:God created the earth in six days. There was no sin when the earth created. The bible says: everything God made was “very good” ( Genesis 1:31). Sin entered when man rebelled against God, not because God created sin. Sin, therefore, is any violation of God’s holy law. Romans 3:23 teaches that we must know the character of God before we can accurately define sin, because His glory and holiness is the standard by which we measure it. Without perfection there is no way to know whether something is imperfect. Without the absolute standard of God’s holiness, every word or action would be judged by the faulty, shifting standard of imperfect people. Without God’s moral law, we have no way of knowing right from wrong. Sin is moving away from what is right. God created men and angels with a free will, and, if a being has a free will, there is at least the possibility that he will choose wrong. The possibility for sin was a risk God took. He created human beings in His image, and, since He is free, humans were created free, too (Genesis 1:27). Free will involves the ability to choose, and, after God communicated the moral standard, He gave the man a true choice ( Genesis 2:16). Adam chose disobedience. God did not tempt, or lure Adam into disobedience. James 1:13 says, “When tempted, no one should say, ‘God is tempting me.’ For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.” God allowed Adam the dignity of free choice and honored that choice with appropriate consequences ( Romans 5:12). God provided the opportunity to sin, but He did not create sin. Having the opportunity was good; without it, human beings and angels would be little more than robots. God's principles never changes. The Bible is clear that, whatever path we choose, consequences follow. We reap what we sow ( Galatians 6:7), take it or leave it. |

hahn:Above all things, God is holy, and He cannot compromise His holiness for anything. God will not gain anything by seeing His own creation born in hell. Hell was not created for humanity. Read (matthew 25:41) Those who spend eternity in hell, do so because they rejected God's love and his provision for salvation. Nobody is destined for hell, the bible says: God is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 peter 3:9). |

Mellin:And the serpent said unto the woman, ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil (Genesis 3:4-5). That is the day satan began to wreck havoc upon humanity, thats day satan killed and destroyed everything. Satan is not just evil, he's malicious and conniving. Look, you may have engaged many religious folks. But, i'm prety sure you've not met one like me. Let us open the bible and see. Bring it on! 1 Like |

@Mellin. One of the mysteries of the christian life is why God allows satan wreak havoc in this world. And if God is so powerful why couldn't He just stop him? First, we know God is absolutely sovereign over all creation, and this includes Satan. Certainly, Satan and his demons wreak havoc in the world, but they are only allowed a certain amount of freedom. We also know that God has planned everything from the beginning of time to the end. Nothing can thwart His plans, and things are proceeding exactly on schedule. “The LORD of hosts has sworn: ‘As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand’” ( Isaiah 14:24). Second, “we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” ( Romans 8:28). Whatever God has planned for Satan, that plan will be the best one possible. God’s perfect wrath and justice will be satisfied, and His perfect righteousness will be glorified. Those who love Him and who wait for His plan to be fulfilled will be thrilled to be part of that plan and will praise and glorify Him as they see it unfold. Third, we know that to question God’s plan and its timing is to question God Himself, His judgment, His character and His very nature. It is not wise to question His right to do exactly as He pleases. The psalmist tells us, “As for God, His way is perfect” (Psalm 18:30). Whatever plan comes from the mind of the Almighty is the best plan possible. It is true that we can’t expect to understand that mind perfectly, as He reminds us, “‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ says the LORD. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts’” ( Isaiah 55:8-9). Nevertheless, our responsibility to God is to obey Him, to trust Him, and to submit to His will, whether we understand it or not. In the case of His timing for Satan’s demise, it has to be the best possible plan because it is God’s plan. God will stop satan. But, it is only going to be at His own time. 1 Like |
