LilNetty: E be like say you get money true true...nowadays introduction party and trad party are the same except for exchange of ring. So why throw a party for introduction and throw another party for trad. As for me, invite your family to her house and do the introduction. Her family should sponsor the feeding except you want to assist. For trad and white, most times the groom sponsors everything ooo including buying of cloths for their inlaws except the brides family want to assist willingly. To pick date, the brides family will suggest 1 or more dates or a time frame, your family will review if it suits them or not. 1 Like |

Remitly and remit choice still sends money to Nigeria but it have to be a Naira . Your friend should on those apps, there is a conversion rate already and put your naira as the receiver. Central bank stopped deposit of USD in domiciliary except direct bank wire and its more expensive.

Valoromega: You want to eat your cake and have it back? She should pat you on the head for cheating on her? This question should never cross your mind as a married man. My husband knows that the day I find out he cheated on me, he should kiss the marriage goodbye. Her question "would you like it If she does the same" means, put yourself in her shoes as a woman, how will you react? |

GloriousGbola: This is not true. I bought android hisense TV from fouani and I have used for almost 2yrs. Nothing has happened to it. In my opinion, the issue with these Chinese brands is, they make the first few sets with strong quality to draw customers closer and then start making inferior quality after they have earned the public trust. 1 Like |

Marriage took me from Lagos to PH and I regret it. Few jobs with poor pay is what is available. No connection, no good job. I am in the medical field yet the average pay here is 60% of what is paid in Lagos. My career took 2 steps backward within the past 2 years of living in PH. The only good thing in PH is the transportation, traffic free road and low transport fare compared to Lagos. If you have money, you will enjoy PH.

IntelChief: I don't know your girlfriend but she's right. Some dandruff are inherited meaning it has no cure and I have it too, my mom had it. Since primary school till now, I have lost count on the number of treatment used on my hair. I have also done scalp testing. I wash my hair every 2 weeks so I don't make heavy and expensive hairstyles. You will always see me on simple weaving in my house or around the house and when going out, I simply use a wig or face cap. |

OP, in marriage, you need to learn to overlook some things. She is a single mother and it will be wrong to cut her off from her baby daddy. Thank God her ex is financially responsible for his daughter and the child doesn't stay with you except on break. You should be happy that no extra responsibility is on your shoulder. I understand that you don't like how she's milking her ex but there's really nothing you can do about it. I believe it's because she doesn't have a good source of income. It's to look away and avoid been petty. You can discuss the call time with her or she ignores the call when he calls at odd hours. Also understand that US is about 7 hours behind our local time. I don't know what to say about the different religion. You saw her before impregnating her. Just be the matured one in the marriage. Stop peeping into her phone because she does the same and learn to ignore some things. |

Romanoff: Well said ma. @Op, no matter what, i don't tolerate cheating either...The truth is you will still cheat in marriage. Take it or leave it. I pity this new woman and hope she is aware of the kind of person she is in love with. Solution: leave her alone since you still love your ex. |

Since we moved to Lagos from Portharcourt 2months ago, my 13months old princess has been having catarrh. I took her to the health centre, she was given Piriton, aquclav and vitc but no changes after emptying the bottles. I went to the pharmacy and was given catafed, the result is the same. Took her again to a private hospital for children and was given flemming antibiotics, vit c and Zinc sulphate and Piriton (she was having fever and purging). Her health is better but the catarrh is still there. Seeing her breath while sleeping is painful to watch because she struggles to breath. Nb: She baths with hot water. I also use hot water and handkerchief to massage her nose. I keep her warm always. She is still using vit c and becombion as routine drugs. What else can I do because I am confused. |

This thread was really helpful to me today. Location is still the same. From National b/stop, take a vehicle going to local airport and drop at training school. Cross to the other side, you will see a yellow building on your left hand side just before the toll gate. Enter the building and ask for the registration unit. For the registration process, take your international port or a soft copy with 2,800. Complete your registration, take your registration form inside and submit. You will be directed to where you will sit and wait for the vaccine. They will prep you on the do's and don't of the vaccine. They also give polio and csf meningitis if you want. After, the vaccine, collect your card from the table you submitted your form. I didn't spend more than 2hrs there. 4 Likes |

Yankiss: I had to to comment on this post. She isn't talking about the people that sacrifice time and money for transport. I experienced this thing in Rivers state very well. Most of hubbys friend didn't give us 1 kobo or even wedding gifts. We didn't sell aso-ebi to anybody yet we carried souvenir from Lagos to Portharcourt to share for them. I gave birth, the same thing, they all just came to eat naming ceremony rice. When they were getting married, hubby ed them financially and some i went there to assist with chores. They gave birth, we gave them baby gifts(money). The least amount we gave out is 10k. See ehn, those you don't expect or the ones that are not so close are the ones that cares. For those that came from far, it's understandable. No one is asking for something expensive, just that it goes a long way in the heart of the celebrant. The lady that grinds pepper beside my house brought detergent (2 sachet) and antiseptic. My hairdresser brought a bottle of groundnut. My friend in the UK sent me baby cloths and shoes, I didn't expect it considering logistics fee and she just started her masters program. My bole (roasted plantain) seller who is almost 60yrs gave me baby cloths and she was so helpful. God bless that woman o. She was bathing the baby for a week and her house is not close at all. I have already told hubby since the beginning of this year that we won't dash money any how. 4 Likes |

Archworld: Was looking for a comment like this. It's obvious many people do not buy these things on a regular basis. I stay in PH and last month, I bought 6pcs of plantain for 1k at rumuokoro. The same place, I priced banana and a seller wanted to sell 500 banana for 1500. I price 750, she stopped answering me. Though price of plantain and banana recently started falling. There was a time in June/july that groundnut was very expensive. In my area, they stopped selling 50 groundnut. It came down this month and it is going up again. |

Lalakas: I can't see the problem in the food issue. For me, beans and moi-moi is what I make in excess and put in the freezer. When you get back from work and there's still time, pick beans up to quarter rubber. Another time you come back from work, par boil your beans till its slightly soft, sieve and pack it inside the freezer. For moi-moi, peel up to quarter rubber of beans, cook and put the rest inside the freezer. I even like cooking moi-moi on Friday so that it will be strong for eating on Saturday. Since your husband doesn't like moi-moi and beans again, you will have time to prepare fast breakfast for him and also serve your kids moi-moi or beans. Your duty as a wife includes sex. Abi is he supposed to have sex with another woman outside? You are the only one licenced to have sex with him so what's the fuss? |

OP, I agree with you in some areas. A customer needed a bag of beans. I told her 66k for 32 rubbers and I will bring it to her junction. She said she sells at 2400/rubber and her profit will not come out. I was shocked. You will make 76,800 on a bag and not contented with 15% profit. In a busy location, you can sell more than 3 bags in a month. Na we dey do ourselves.

Brainlevels: You quoted the wrong person. I had to quote him to know where 1700 will get him 4 times a plate of pounded yam with assorted meat 1 Like |

blazingblender: Pls where in PH ooo...4 times? You mean pounded yam with assorted meats at the rate of 400? Do you know that the mini restaurant beside my house at Mgbuoba area sells soup separately. A wrap of pounded yam (very small) is 300 per wrap. As a lady, I can finish 2 wraps sef. Even if you want to defend your argument, you exaggerated greatly. She bought goat meat ooo, price of goat meat has increased too. I think it is genesis, a peice of cow meat is 500 for 1. Ordinary bole, yam and fish...you will spend minimum of 500 to eat and hold body. Bole is now 250 to 300 for 1 plantain. Minimum price of fish is 200. Yam is still 50 for 1. Do the math. 2 Likes |
