Bold strategy for Bob/Idris to pretty much it his sexual orientation with all the talk about dating men etc. I wonder if this is a play for an asylum appeal, down the line? Suing the EFCC and National Assembly is quite the escalation ![]() |

Haliburton paid bribes to Nigerians. The U.S. charged Haliburton to court and punished them with severe fines. Nigeria did not prosecute a single Nigerian for the bribe taking, and yet the EFCC is whining that they didn’t receive a cut of the fines paid in the U.S. for what reason na? 1 Like 1 Share |

Why has a thread from May been moved to the front page? Especially when the OP is a known liar who makes up stories for engagement |

![]() WriterNig: No, flying a surveillance drone over a nuclear power plant isn’t an attack, and there are no recorded open attacks from Russia on a NATO country in the past decade. If Russia shared a land border with the U.S. and were to enter a conventional war with the U.S. that has easily q15 times their defence budget, they would crush the Russian army like toilet paper. Ukraine is already dealing with them just using older, surplus U.S. tech. You certainly have found a lot of success with misleading people here, but at least try to keep your claims credible na. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Joythah: When I was in UNIBEN, the generators near Hall 4 ran through the night if needed, providing power to the hostels, classes and Staff quarters. Joythah: This is untrue. The school did not have 24 hours electricity. Joythah: I do not advocate for a steep hike in fees. The school you defend are the ones being unrealistic. How in the world does it make sense to proceed with the academic year and still set exams while the students are forced to live in extremely insalubrious conditions with no power to even read at night? “They need more time”? That’s rubbish. What have they come up with in the past few months? Where’s the public drive for goodwill donations and CSR contributions? Where are the public calls for intervention on the power situation? Where’s the stakeholder engagement? Joythah: You must be off your rockers if you think I’m particularly enamored with this aimless istration. If you’re not outraged, I certainly am outraged. But I will not you to insist the university leadership is blameless in this matter. |

Joythah: blowjohn: You people are suffering from a critical lack of imagination. And it’s glaring to see. Weeks to exam, the school was happily providing just one hour of power daily. Students were supposed to read in darkness. A demand for 24/7 power may be unrealistic, but it is clearly the first step in a negotiation that the school is supposed to counter by at least providing power for the whole night, and part of daylight. This is how a University should be run. If the VC cannot make the basics happen, he should be relieved of his job and someone else should be appointed there. Simple and short. Imagine hearing about students getting one hour of power and your first response is to sneer at demands of the students who should rightly be extremely outraged. 1 Like 1 Share |

‘Sustainable development goals’ with billions at their disposal and all they can talk about is ‘skills acquisition center’ and ‘blocks of classroom’. We know what these usually entail. Usually lackluster places for a handful of artisans to learn and ugly classroom blocks. Is that what they truly want to boast about doing? |

Lovit: The ones that enter domestic violence are the weak men. Set your boundaries. If you feel those are crossed, go for divorce and move on. And I’m not veering from the issue. Many of those who are labeled ‘toxic’ are those who are determined to be seen as equal partners in the marriage. 2 Likes |

Lovit: If you feel your wife is disrespectful to you, the law courts everywhere accept divorce petitions. Move on and marry someone else who you feel will treat you better. How is someone who is gainfully employed being ‘treated as a houseboy’? Is it when you’re at work, doing your 9-5? 99% of the time when someone argues with this ‘houseboy’ line, the man is a layabout doing nothing while the woman is hardworking. If you’re not the breadwinner in the house, you’re the partner with way more free time and you’re overseas where getting a maid or nanny is prohibitively expensive…the common sense thing is to pick up as much of the house chores as possible. If your wife works 12 hour shifts as a Nurse or care worker and you’re not working at all, why will you not take care of some stuff at home if you’re not a clown? 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Dikegodspower: You and the 65 people (so far) that liked this comment are absolute clowns, and I hope the women in your lives know you’re trash human beings. aswani: You are clearly not intelligent at all. The facts in the OP state that the man has been investigated multiple times in the past for domestic violence, the woman has been found in the past with signs of physical abuse including a bloodied lip, and the marriage has long been strained over financial issues. How you’ve parlayed all that into “the man acted out of character” is quite strange. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Nairaland has an issue with paid influencers pushing the sponsored topics…as well as mods moving obviously sponsored posts to the front page. Same way we had a flood of paid posts attacking Natasha Akpothi leading up to the elections. Yahaya Bello should go to the EFCC and have his case in court. Simple as that. |

Man has no stable job and is struggling with store work Wife has a stable job with decent income. Husband gets jealous and constantly accuses his more successful wife of infidelity and disrespect Husband pivots to verbal and physical abuse to stamp his dominance and then starts looking for girlfriends himself. Wife gets fed up and couple gets estranged. Angry and insecure husband then turns to violence. An oft repeated tale. Sad to see. Oh, I forgot. Nairaland and Nigerian men jump up and blame the woman. 18 Likes 7 Shares |
