Mine is two weeks now o just be patient it usually not like this before. Maybe they have so many backlog

You mean they've not updated yours, despite been two weeks?

This is serious. I think the problem is peculiar to Nigeria, because I did mine at Beijing center, and it took just 12hrs.

Please, how many days does it take biometric to be updated on the system? It is more than a week my brother did biometric at Lagos center, and it has not been updated till today.
Is this normal?

Guys, please help. The below is the only flight I can afford. The question is, do I need a transit visa for that Dallas? It is 3hrs layover. I am traveling from China, and the flight ticket is too expensive.

Hello,
Please can we connect? I'm coming to Kingston in Ontario in August.

Chiziteremary:
Hi Biola,

Yes i am in Canada, this platform played a major role in my journey. The fact that people dont have jobs doesnt mean that everyone's destiny is the same. I got a job that pays all my bills about 2 months after i came in. Well i'm in Ontario but not in Toronto, i hear Toronto is one the most expensive places to live. No matter how you look at it, prospects are much more here than back home. I mean for anyone who really wants to relocate.

Even people that relocate with PR face challenges but overall, i will neva discourage anyone from coming to Canada. Yes, come with as much money as you can because settling down initailly isnt easy but others have done it. Most importantly, i believe so much in the God factor. If God is with you on this relocation journey, you will never be stranded.

Did u really expect me to tell people, don't come o, here is hard. Hmmm. I cant say that o.

Philomathhh:
Is there anyone here leaving Lagos for Toronto on July 27 via Egypt Air? If so, I would like to connect.

Yes, you were rejected because of the insufficient evidences.

Even if you are working in your father's company, you should have declared it, and its a plus for you.

Secondly, do CAC for your father's company and claim that you work there.

That business alone is your strong home tie, because you are taking over the business after your study.

Unkissme:
Good morning Guys, please I need help. My first application was rejected within two weeks of application. I studied engineering and applied for a masters in engineering after 6years of graduation. (Tho I haven't been working in my field, but I kind of linked my whole process with work(in my SOP),stating that I'm currently work in a fast growing farm as a engineer in charge of piping systems, priming of generator n any other engineering related job you can find in a farm. Truth is,the farm is my Dad's, but I didn't state this while applying. I used the farm cos since it is ours,it will be a lot easy to provide any assistance. Please Note(the farm has no CAC document, but provides steady n good income. My dad is my primary sponsor and I submitted application with POF of 15m and 4kCAD as deposit. Now these are the reasons for rejection.
1. The V.O isn't convinced I'll return to my country after my 2 years study.
2. That I say I work and yet didn't submit any payslip, invoice tax nor bank statement in my name
3. No family ties outside Canada
4. Insufficient funds.
Please Guys,I need help on how to tackle these concern of the V.O please πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

My friend was sent a message that his port has been dispatched using EMS. However, no tracking number was given. Is this how it works?

My observations so far:
Securing potential professors is the only key to the success of your application.

You don't need to be specific about Public Health. There are other related courses to public health with resesrch focus on public health related things.

Do you have publications? If no, you need to have something to demonstrate to your potential professors. Those guys don't recon with students without industrial experience or research experience.

In short, you need to get potential professors, and that's the key to land a PhD ission and funding.

Zubi85:
Hellooooo Gurus in the house, please I need your advice:
My First Degree is BSc. (Ed)) Health Education with CGPA of 3.75 (Second Class Upper).
My Second Degree is MSc. (Ed) Community Health Education with GPA of 3.7 or Average Score of 60.2% (Merit).
The two Degrees were obtained here in Nigeria.
So I intend going for PhD in Public Health in Canada, and if possible I can pursue a scholarship after getting the ission.
Please can my Master Grade fetch me a PhD ission in Canadian University because I learnt that PhD ission is highly competitive in Canada?
But if not, please which European country or University can offer me PhD ission in Public Health with my Grade?
Thank you All.

I guess you wouldn't want to shoot yourself on the leg. You will give your activities from 10years ago in your application. So, if you wouldn't disclose your MSc in your application, what have you been doing in the UK, and what proof do you have to back it up?

Similarly, UK offers high level of Education like other developed countries. Therefore, going for a lesser degree in Canada is a red flag, unless if the lesser degree is for career progress, and if you gonna use it to augment your qualification at work.

However, you can go for another Masters degree in Canada if and only if your MSc in the UK is a one year course, and the MSc you are going for in Canada is a research-based course. You can always justify it.

Finally, if you are applying from abroad, you must show your residents permit or any document that will show your legal residency. You must also not apply with a visa validity less than 6 months.

The truth is that crossing from one country to Canada is a total red flag, especially if you came to your present country through schooling, and instead of going back home, you want to cross to Canada. That is a no-no. You must have a convincing reason for not applying from your home country.

Note: I am not an expert. These opinions are mine and mine alone based on my experience.

Please I need help πŸ™πŸ™

I am currently doing my MSc in the UK but plan on going through the study route again to Canada. So I will be putting up my application from the UK, but I would have finished the UK MSc programme before the Canada application.I want to pursue a postgraduate diploma in a related course similar to the one I am currently studying in the UK.Is it advisable to apply for PGD in a related course to the one I am doing in the UK, or can I be silent about the current MSc since I would have completed the UK MSc before I filled out the Canada application? Also, is there a point when filling out the Canada visa application where I will be asked to put the type of visa I am on in the UK, or would they ask anything like that?Note: I was once denied a study permit due to financial issues and also because I applied for a diploma course in 2021.

Guys, this is what my friends portal is displaying. She is going for four years phd course and the study permit is just 1 year 5 months... Why?

Can someone explain this?

sudo1986: 6:47pm On Jun 09, 2023
Hello guys, I have a question. If you are granted a study permit until November 2024, and your program is completing on July 2027, do you have to reapply for study permit or what?
sudo1986: 6:37pm On Jun 09, 2023
Thank you very much for your response.

jaydave:

The visitor visa will be the trv to enter into Canada while d study permit is what’s needed to study in Canada

sudo1986: 5:36am On Jun 09, 2023
Guys, if your study permit is approved, does it also come with visitor visa document number too?

She said hers is showing study permit document number and visitor visa document number, in which the two numbers are different but same expiring date.

Furthermore, the two documents expiring date is November 30 2024. She received the port request on June 8. Which means the validity period on the documents is just 1yr and 5 months.

What is that date all about? Is it a date to enter Canada or the validity of the visas to be renewed?

Thank you in advance.

Guys, my friend's medical exams eas ed since ladt three weeks. She received biometric validation letter today instead of correspondent letter.

Is this not a rejection?

Meanwhile, they put the date of the biometric validation letter on the final decision link on the portal.

Is this a bad sign? No correspondent letter but BVL.

Hello guys, asking for a friend.

It will be six weeks she applied for the study permit on Friday. Someone said you can send messages to some emails with a title "urgent" after six weeks of application. She is planning to send such message on Monday.
Please, could anyone list all the email addresses to send the message to?

Thanks.
sudo1986: 3:09pm On Jun 04, 2023
Fallacy!!! Run from such person. The minimum CGPA for Madters ission is 3.50. Just ensure that your profile is competitive enough to stand others.
Note that if you are going for a masters by research, ensure you have some research experiences and also professors.
Try all your best to do some professional courses in your chosen field on Coursera or other online platforms.

Shalom!!!

Good morning my people.
Please I need your advice my people.
I graduated with 3.75 (Second Class Upper) in Health Education and I intended applying for Master in Public Health in Canadian university but someone told me that my CGPA of 3.75 will not get me ission since it's not up to 4.00. Then, the person advised me to go for Diploma program and I don't like Diploma program.
Please I need your advice on this. Thank you all.
