No need asking riders destinations over the phone. I drive down to the place and ask the rider his destination face to face before starting the trip. If you wanna go to that destination, politely explain why. My line is "I live close by and I am about to close for the day, I'm sorry I can't go that far right now". Communication and politeness is key though.

That is the same phone I bought for my driver. He complains that it hangs a lot. That phone is crap. The hot4 is way better.

Those of us that think we can make 100k weekly in uber should move to uber so that we can have less drivers on taxify which will translate to less waiting time for the remaining drivers on Taxify

Bro I drive my own car sparingly on Friday to Sunday and I make 35k after every expenses. I don't drive more than 10hrs in those days. Any driver that has a problem delivering 35k is just a CHEAT. Whats difficult in working for the car owner on Friday to Sunday. You can make another 30k net for yourself in three days and rest for one day.

I just can't understand what the fuss is all about. This uber/taxify driver job is one of the highest paying non-whitecollar job in the country with 100-150k monthly earnings for the driver.

My newest driver is a young guy I picked up on the street with zero idea about e-hailing taxi. I tutored him well and loaned him money for a good phone. I have him work from 5am to 12noon, he comes home to eat and sleep till 5pm. He then works till 11pm and he is done for the day. I fuel his car every day and I pay him 25k weekly. This way I make 37k to 45k weekly depending on how much he makes between those hours. I handle all my repairs. I have never had a happier driver and I have never been happier with a driver.

Meanwhile, he doesn't work on Tuesdays.

How many people do you see teaching anyone that cares to know his unique way of making money? I honestly wouldn't, because I would feel the market would get saturated by people with similar strategy.

When he talked about his Peugeot as well, he didn't force anyone to buy it. Same way my dad has been preaching volvo to me for months but he still s me whenever I buy a Toyota brand instead. I will give his Peugeot a trial soon.

You have 5 cars 407 in Uber, is like the little change u r getting driving people around Lagos, has started touching ur brain.

How do you want Toyota driver to compete with u? To be on the road 24hours? There are few 407 mechanic in Lagos, and when ur headlamp or rear lights damage you won't find it in the market.

Finally, we are not buying ur 407, go to kaduna and sell them for 300k, that's what they are paying for 407 in the north.

I am willing to accept 30k a week and repairs will be done by the driver. Should you want Hire Purchase, then I would require a down payment and a spread of 1year.

Today's inspection has got to be the most relaxed vehicle inspection I've ever seen. They just took pictures of the car and documents and that was all. I guess it was all about the 2k

Uber/taxify prepare our , they tell us our balance at d end of the day, have anyone try to do his/her own to see if some of their records are not doctored? I tried it, uber seems more accurate but not too correct when given us their bonus. Taxify sometimes is not correct. Maybe its my calculator. Someone else should try.

I once ordered an Uber ride and after the man ended the trip, he wrote down the trip details in a small ledger he had prepared. I asked him why and he said Uber's calculations are not always accurate that some trips don't appear on his dashboard at the end of the week.

Please gurus, how do u handle those difficult riders that always insist on using transfer as a system of payment? I keep running into them, and in some cases u have network issues where the money doesn't get to u and they insist they have transferred and been debited.
