The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC),Chikwe Ihekweazu has warned Nigerians of risking another lockdown if they continue to violate some health guidelines.

Ihekweazu made this known while speaking at the presidential task force briefing on COVID-19 in Abuja on Monday, stating that new cases of the virus may arise if people continued to flout the health directives in some parts of the country where the lockdown was eased.

He said that the Federal government might be forced to impose another lockdown if there are more cases of coronavirus.

He said “How do we want to manage the risk of explosion and transmission?

”Today, we might forgive a little bit because it is the first day.

“We will definitely have more cases because of what happened today, no doubt about that.

“But how can we learn from the mistakes of today into tomorrow, next tomorrow so by Friday hopefully we have normalised some of these things.

“Yes, we knew today would be a problem because for the first time, people were let out of their homes but now they are out and we have seen the sunlight again, the challenge for us as a society is how do we now organise ourselves to mitigate these risks and limit transmission?

“We might have a few extra infections today and tomorrow but what we don’t want is an explosion of new infections.

“If the cases of the virus infection increases, there will be almost no choice left for the leadership of the country than to ask all of us to go back into our homes.

“So for the benefit of coming out to reopen parts of the economy, there is a price to pay which is to reorganise ourselves to do this safely.”

Recall that the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and FCT ended on Monday as residents were allowed to resume work.

However, DAILY POST gathered that some commercial buses, popularly known as ‘Danfo’ flouted the Lagos State transportation guidelines. Pictures and videos of Nigerians overcrowding in public places also emerged online.

I ones offered a supposed friendly neighbour a coke drink being the first time at my place, only for him to verbally reject saying that he was too big a guest for me to be offering him mere coke. I stood in disbelief because I earlier asked him what he would like for him to entertain him with and he said I should bring anything available. I guess because of the standard of my sitting room and looking at how furnished it was, he was obviously expecting Hennessey or something even bigger..... He has not visited ever since

Am sorry about your baby but as empathetic is I can be, I have to say the truth to you, you must have been wicked or acted in a very unkind manner to someone for you to experience this kind of harsh treatment from your stepmom.

Only the little baby is the Victim of circumstance this time..... Even your school of thought about paying back evil with evil buttresse my point.

Just hand over your stepmom to God, she will also enjoy the reward of her bad did earnestly.

AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI

Mr. President, many believe that you cannot read and those that believe that you can claim that you cannot go beyond three lines. They say outside of that you can only comprehend cartoons.

I do not share either view. I know you well enough to concede that when you consider a literary submission of sufficient importance you have the prescence of mind, discipline, health, intelligence and ability to read through it very slowly and very carefully weighing up every word. And that is precisely as it should be.

The first open letter that I wrote to you was in December 2015 and the following serves as the second.

You will forgive me because this is a long letter and I am fully aware that your attention span or ability to retain too much information in one fell swoop may not be as good as it used to be.

Nevertheless I urge you to do your best to muster the courage, energy and intellectual stamina to stay the course and to find the time out of your busy schedule to read it from beginning to end.

I have written it because our nation is entering into dangerous and precarious waters and I sense that something will give very soon. I am therefore constrained to use this medium to bring my observations to your attention.

Be rest assured that I speak out of nothing but love and concern for the welfare of the Nigerian people and it is not my intention to insult you or undermine and disrespect your office but rather to shine the light of truth on all your activities with a view to assisting and encouraging you to change your ways.

You will agree with me that, no matter how bitter it may be, that truth must be told. This is a sacred obligation on our part as leaders and a matter of duty and honor.

I owe you, the Nigerian people and posterity that much and I have little doubt that no matter how badly you may feel after reading it, history will vindicate me and prove me right and one day you will acknowledge and recognise the profundity, wisdom and foresight in my constant and consistent criticisms, onitions and counsel.

Outside of that it is my earnest prayer that the God of Heaven, whose I am and whom I serve, will judge between you and I.

Your Excellency, kindly note and consider the following.

You released hundreds of Boko Haram fighters from prison claiming that they are reformed and a few days later 30 of your citizens are blown up by the same Boko Haram in Borno state.

Worse still on that same day 16 of the same family and four others were herded into a room and burnt alive by Fulani militants in Kaduna state.

After these terrible events instead of rushing back home to stand with your people, you stayed in Addis Ababa, lamenting and crying about the security situation in Libya and you sent your Vice to a funeral in Nairobi. Such insensitivity, even by your own standards, is rarely seen.

It took you three long days to finally see fit to leave your foreign friends, leave Addis Ababa and fly directly to Maiduguri to express your condolences to the Governor and people of Borno.

Even then you could not muster the courage to go to the town of Auno where the bombing took place but only to Maiduguri, the capital of the state.

Understandably you were received with boos, jeers and shouts of "ba ma so" (meaning "we dont want") by the crowds that lined the streets and this was an eloquent testimony to the fact that the entire nation, including the north that you claim to represent and be a champion of, is fed up with you and can no longer bear your incompetence and inability to run the affairs of our nation.

Worst still hours after your condolence visit Boko Haram attacked Maiduguri itself hitting one of its suburbs called Jidari Polo.

Their leader, a cowardly creature that can best be described as a psychopathic, delusional, sociopathic, mentally-deranged, murderous, bloodthirsty, bloodlusting and unconciable monster by the name of Sheik Abubakar Shekau, even had the nerve to s

I am a very active member of of RCCG who has been in the mission for over two decades, however here is my submission.

In asmuch as I agree with my spiritual father on this, I believe he actually took it too far by asking his "son" to relieve the lady of her duties.

In a world that we live-in, there is absolutely nothing bad in a Boss being excited, or looking forward to see his female staff at the office.

Excitement in this context does not necessarily means lust or undesired intimate affection towards the opposite sex. You can be excited to see anyone in respect of their gender....

That lady in question may be the only person that complements the son's job at the office. She may be so good with her Secretariat duties that the boss doesnt and never has issues with her....... Probably the best staff at the office at that time, which makes the boss excited or looking forward to see her at the office.....

Let's paint the scenario this way

Son; Good afternoon Daddy, how is the ministry sir?.

Daddy GO; Afternoon son, ministry is good, God bless you.

Son; Amen sir. Its so good to see you sir. I brought some gift for you daddy, its little but daddy kindly accept it sir, I'll tell my driver to bring it up immediately.

Daddy GO; It shall be well with you. How is your family and business generally.?

Son; Daddy family is fine and business is good too, in fact there is this my secretary who makes the business easier for me, infact she is one of the reason I am always excited to go to work on Monday. I am always excited to see her.

Daddy GO; No son, that is the agent of the devil in disguise, you cannot allow such a person close to you, You must fire her immediately you get to the office. Because even the Bible says anything that will not allow you enter the kingdom of God must be plucked out.

Son; but sir i.....i......i........

Daddy GO; listen son, there is no but, just do as I have commanded.

Son; Okay sir. Will do just that.

Daddy GO; Thats my son, God bless you..

.........I hope the above will at least paint a picture of what I am trying to say.

In summary, Daddy GO must have over reacted.
