Good day everyone. Please I would appreciate some input on this; Between Univeristy of Roehampton and UWE Bristol, which would you advise I go for? Considering the cost of living and tuition deposit for both.

Just note that Roehampton is located in London.

Hello everyone, I would be arriving Birmingham Airport on Thursday and my agent texted me that recent bank statements are being asked for at the point of Entry. Please how true is it? I already emptied my naira since April 1st and changed 3 months rent to pounds.
Please how true is the recent bank statement requirement?

Put your POF back into your before traveling to UK and print the bank statement (it can be a 5-day bank statement not necessarily 28 days). It seems to be on a case by case basis. A good number of students that travelled for this May intake experienced it. Better safe than sorry.

To my understanding and research, Pre-registration programs are for D. Meaning, it is tailored towards people who are already working with NHS and wish to move higher to the next rung of the ladder. I doubt if it is open to international applicants. If it is so, so many Nigerian nurses struggling to their CBT, IELTS and other NMC qualifying exams required to get ed would have adopted that approach. I think Canada also has something similar too.

Please I stand to be corrected. You may enlighten more with examples please. That option won't be a bad idea at all to explore.

@Sparklingly, you didn't follow me up with our chat again......

1. No, most pre-registration courses don't require D for international students in the way you interpreted it to be. What they need is to have (for most schools) is proven relevant work experience in health care or something clinical related that can be related to the role of nursing. So the schools can ask you to fill a portfolio form, attend an interview before they give you ission, provide of ed healthcare professionals you've worked under, or fill RPL forms.
2. You can confirm by checking the entry requirements for MSC pre-registration Nursing in Glasgow Caledonian University, Coventry University, Brunel University, University of Suffolk, UCLAN, etc. Note for UCLAN and Brunel, the course is called MSC ed Nursing but it is pre-reg nursing. And for Coventry only Mental Health Nursing pre-registration is open to international students.
2. IELTS is compulsory for both pre-registration and normal nursing. It is UK's requirement for any type of nursing.
3. Sorry about that sir, I will surely call you this evening.

Thanks for the response. I was just wondering if my BSN could afford me some kind of waivers. Also do you know of affordable Unis closest to London or Uni with affordable accommodation. Thanks!

Yes, I do. Please check your mail.

Please advise of pathways to study in the UK and best and most affordable options available to eventually becoming a practicing nurse.
I finished last year from Poland-English University with a bachelor's degree in nursing but couldn't get ed as nurse in Poland due to policy of the country and some other issues.

If you're not ed in any country, you can go for MSC Pre-registration nursing in UK.

Cranfield university: Β£1000
Queen mary university of London: Β£2000
University of Strathclyde: Β£1500
University of Bristol: 1500
University of Liverpool: Β£2000

1. None of these schools accept HND for direct masters.
2. For these schools, the deposits are only before CAS, so you must pay 50-70% tuition before or upon enrolment.
3. University of Strathclyde's deposit is 35% of tuition, not 1500pounds.

ulster university payment method for CAS and deposit with subsequent payment methods..is it MRES? thanks

Course : Social Policy

Ulster University does not have any social science course in MRES so that course would be for normal MSC.

4000pounds deposit for CAS, 50% upon enrolment. Balance is in 2 installments.

Do you want an MRES course in Social Science?

HELLO GUYS,

Pls my school just requested my statements for CAS process but I have some concerns.

The funds in the have been sitting there for sometime without any transactions being done with said . Is this a red flag for visa application? Should I send the statements like that or I have to start doing some transactions with the now? Pls helpπŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½.

It is better to do transactions (not lump sums though). Your highest transaction should not exceed 50K. Buy airtime, pay utility bills, transfer urgent 2k (always put description o), etc.

MRes program?
Yes but it is a form of pre-phd. And it is only available in biomedical science, medicine, geography, and one other science discipline.
The processing is a whole lot though. Because you'd have to apply to an existing research work. So you have to reach out to the supervisor in charge of the research work; and he/she has to agree to let you before you can put in any application.

Note: At the moment, there seems not to be any research work MRES students can , researchers are only looking for PhD students.

NB: I got this from an agent please is it true ?

I am writing to inform you about the current application process for MRes courses at several universities. Please note the following:

University of Wolverhampton – MRes without research proposal

University of Gloucestershire – MRes without research proposal

University of Huddersfield – MRes with research proposal

Bolton University – MRes without research proposal

Due to the high volume of applications and limited CAS capacity at these universities, we are unable to process applications for the specified courses at the universities listed above. UKVI has flagged these universities due to their policies, and for the May intake, we have seen deferred applications for the September intake. We are unsure whether the deferred students will receive a CAS letter. Therefore, please refrain from promoting these universities for MRes courses without a research proposal. Additionally, the University of Huddersfield has stopped accepting applications for MRes programs for the September 2025 intake.

True. UKVI's attention is now on them because of the influx of MRES students which is why they all closed application/tightened the process. They might even run into more issues with UKVI if a good number of their students end up not being genuine students.

Thankyou for your response. What I mean after the 1yr graduate diploma, I am permitted to obtain the post Graduate work visa to stay back and work or is the 1yr graduate diploma course not qualified for the post study work visa
Oh, if the PGD is in education, you will get your post study work visa. If not, you might have to go for a master's programme.

Why not go for direct masters?

Pls I need the list of UK universities that accept low tuition deposit 3500 pounds or 4000 pounds

University of Plymouth. Deposit is 3500pounds and no payment on enrolment. But tuition is a bit on a higher side, an average of 19000 to 21000pounds depending on the course.

But there is an automatic 1500pounds tuition discount for 2:2 and 3500pounds tuition discount for 2:1.

Ok, thank you much. Any course recommendations please? She's in her late 20s that's why.

Let her do something related to her work experience. For example, if she has worked as a financial analyst, she can go for a business related course or data analytics and the likes.

Can we also have lists of UK Universities that will accept HND to Masters in Research (MRes)

Ejoor πŸ‘πŸ½

You can't do MRES with an HND. Even for direct masters, only a few schools accept HND. The minimum requirement for MRES is BSC 2:2 and that's even for some schools. Most schools want 2:1.
