Sorry bro, but what exactly does software updates do?
All the phones that I've ever bought always tell me to update os at some point in time, but I've always dismissed it as unnecessary.

There is always a reason for software update, i didn't even know when i upgraded from 12 to 13 in my old phone cos i dont joke with any available updates....I do notice that when i was using very low Android cos it keeps hanging till i do the update it makes it more faster.

The Samsung is quite better...have never observed the SOT of both phones, but I'll only advice someone to buy the Samsung because it's quite cheaper than the infinix...note the infinix 8gb is quite better in app management

I really don't like this issue of phones lagging and hanging after a period of time and becoming practically useless. There was nothing like this during the days of JAVA. You could use your phone for as long as possible and you only had to worry about battery deterioration. Battery replacement was also very easy unlike what we have today.

What I feel is responsible for this problem is the frequent updates on android OS and the apps it self. The Android OS is not stable including the apps, so with frequent additions every now and then, most phones released earlier will no longer be able to cope hence hanging and lagging.

You are absolutely correct, but it's not in the case of most flagship phones....if not that I don't like used phone and most phone I'm willing to use I can't afford it for now, I could have say Google pixel, Samsung or Redmi flagship you won't have to worry about lagging for almost 10 years.

I'm stock with infinix hot 40i and I really love it.. infinix and Tecno are not getting it in camera...very weak and washed camera 😞

I also bought Samsung A05 last week I couldn't use it, I have to change with my phone infinix...it has a very weak camera but it's very fast too...you could give it a trial it's value for the money but I only collected infinix cos its 8gb ram and 128gb compared to Samsung A05 which is 4gb and 64gb

I do hate Tecno and infinix and the likes before...but they are doing ok for now...I used Redmi 7 when it first came out, at first, it was very fast and smooth but as times goes on I almost smashed the phone because it hangs and I do miss calls,same as my formal OnePlus too.


The best is that you should always change your phone every 2 to 3 years, only if you are using low end phone

I don't believe I can use infinix in my life, when my phone broke down,I bought infinix hot 40i 8gb and 120gb for 136000 some months ago....I can tell they doing great and the battery hold, Just that they don't offer software update and the camera is weak from someone using Google pixel before but the speed is ok.

This is for those saying that MTK is giving snapdragon a run for its money in 2024. The only area where MTK is better is in the price. It is cheaper. And this is because it's a cheap processor for midrange devices.

Snapdragon is overpriced and if the significant changes between the 2 is not that varies... Someone like me will still settle for MTk cos I love value for the money.

It's helio G85 with 4gb of ram and 64rom but you could higher your budget to128gb if you like...my pixel I bought here is bad now...it couldn't load I guess it's flashing the rom...save yourself from stress of getting used phone.moreover that Samsung will have two updates
