Nice one but for Nigeria to work quicker, we have to kill off tribal identities. If you think that's too much to ask for then we are better off apart. We can't be apart within and still expect homogeneity in action.

There's a trending video of one Hausa guy who was raised in the US saying that if Nigeria genuinely wants to make progress, we have to cut off the north. These northerners keep proving him right!
Is that really the case? How many parts of Africa are they resident in and how are those areas faring?

Is Nigeria's problem a northern problem or a leadership problem? Heterogeneity blocks development at a certain point but in what way has northern Nigeria blocked the development of the country?

Have they blocked the introduction of certain bills that will ease of the rate of unemployment, education, agriculture, finance, etc? I understand that heterogeneity will make it difficult for Nigeria to work but really, how are the north responsible for all our bad leadership?

He keeps using the word 'Reform' to minimise the damage he's doing to the people. How can every stupid decision be tagged a reform? They think that by calling it a reform it will not just sound but also become progressive?

There's no reformation in Agriculture, Education, Unemployment, etc., and the old man and his propaganda team wants us to look at his poor decisions as some form of reform. Which reforms exactly? Where? You are just inflicting pain on the country and talking about some imaginary reform.

Hmm... Africans and obsession with ethnicity. Too much diversity is a recipe for disaster and confusion . It's time Africans start consolidating into a strong unified force. Check out the Whites , in the USA, you can't tell apart people that have Irish, English, Scottish, Polish, etc. origins. The Hutus are fighting the Tutsis. One black man from Ogbomosho is busy fighting another black man from Anambra...all from the same country.
They will call this sort of thinking backward because they can't see the logic in it. I know someone who went to court to remove his English name from his official names because he's against anything western and their gods.

You wonder why he didn't do it for language. That's because his brain is not as consistent as he wants to appear. If English names are bad simply because they are English names, why isn't the English language bad too. Lol.

Bunch of Western Asslickers justifying theft and exploitation!
Since you said our issue in Africa is about leaders, then why obsessing about Traore? Allow him to Rule in peace then Judge him based on his leadership skills.
Democracy was not founded in Africa so why force it down Africa throat why not Preach the same to Saudi and Qatar which we all know are undemocratic nations
Why trying so hard to force a leadership style on Africa?
Is it because the inventors are benefiting from it?
It's all about idolising false gods. From this idolatry inspiration is born and from there comes aspirations and we have more false gods. And if you care about truth you shouldn't be asking such questions.

Stop talking out of your ars.e

How does Traore declaring that we will no longer tolerate exploitation make him ''anti-west''?

So being ''pro-west'' to you means opening your nation to western exploitation?

What do you mean ''Everyone stole from everybody''?

When did Nigeria steal 50 trillion dollars from Britain?

When did Africa steal 5,000 trillion dollars from Europe and America?

The ''leaders'' you moan about, do you know that they collude with imperialists?

Peter Obi, Tinubu, etc, don't you see them running to Chatham House, UK to disclose their policies to their western masters prior to elections?

Do you see Chinese or Indian leaders doing that?

See now, Tinubu and Obi have ran to the Vatican to kiss their Pope.

Do you see any Chinese or Indian or Japanese leaders there? No.

You need to understand that corrupt leaders work in cahoots with imperialists.

They don't do it all on their own.

Traore, a young man understands that fact very well while you are here playing mugu.
How are imperialists stopping your governors from constructing quality hospitals and roads? Break it down for me how these imperialists are responsible for Nigerians voting fools out of tribal sentiments and hatred? How are they responsible for a typical Nigerian throwing trash on the road after eating? How are they responsible for our lack of personal development?

Whose fault is it that your leaders collude with imperialist? You think any country in this world doesn't look out for themselves? How is it the fault of foreigners that our leaders do no protect our own interest?

Do you know that according to AI (ChatGPT), Britain owes Nigeria 50 Trillion Dollars for her exploition of the country over the last 300 years from slavery to the end of colonialism in 1960?

If you don't believe me, go on ChatGPT right now and ask ''How much does Britain owe Nigeria for its years of exploitation?''.

It will calculate and give you that amount.

Then ask it what the west owes Africa as a whole, and the amount?

5,000 Trillion dollars.

With calculation.

Yet you have the audacity to ask why anyone should have a problem with the west.

Many of you people just lack common sense in this country.

You can switch my position as much as you like but anyone with a thinking brain understands it clearly. Being anti-west is not a progressive policy in and of itself.

Everyone stole from everybody. It only depends on how far back you are willing to go. If you had common sense you'd have known that your leaders have become the new west.

Someone who knows nothing and understand that they know nothing will get the chance to learn.
Someone who knows nothing but confidently claims they are knowledgeable is doomed.
None of those countries you mentioned above were relegated to producing raw materials and cheap labour according to the globalization order created by the West.
Dont be deceived by the fact that we're operating a democracy. In reality, A lot of African presidents who seem to be democratically elected are actually no more than Warrant Chiefs whom /Britain selected and issued "certificates of recognition" to rule their countries according to instructions dictated from Paris or London.
Have you ever asked why your Presidents can be summoned to Paris or London without hesitation?

Still blaming the west. Whose fault is it at this point?

When oil was discovered in Saudi Arabia and the Arab American company (Aramco) was formed, same thing played out but the Saudi's through focused and sound leadership were able to buy rights to all of Aramco and take over 100% percent of the company.

Korea was under Japanese rule and their resources were exploited but by capitalising on the events after the second world war they were free and secondly they had to face american interference which they surmounted and created giants like Samsung, LG, Hyundai, etc. They had leadership with a plan.

I can go on and on. The problem of Africa is not that its resources were stolen (everyone's resources were stolen) but the failure of leadership in Africa. The west and the east will always fend for themselves. No country is founded with the mission of helping other countries grow. It's left for countries to extricate themselves from the fangs of other countries and that in itself is not progress as long as they end up becoming the new imperialist.

You can keep blaming everyone but until you do something about the enemy on the mirror you would be wasting your time.

my president is a joke, that's an established fact. This Traore boy is an even bigger fraud who spend all his life doing propaganda and fake bravado while terrorists split his country into portions and claim whatever portion they want. If he would drop that awful soldier clothes, stop blabbering and do actual governing he'd be better off
Seriously! It's really sad. We've been starved of progress and love so much that we can kiss anything. To get the average African by your side simply start blaming the west and others for looting Africa while looting the country as you do so.

Our leaders, even in Nigeria here, have mastered the art of dividing the people while they eat. A president from one side of the country will covertly and overtly raise online and offline warriors from his tribe to create conflicts in the tribes while stealing from all the tribes. They will push narratives on why certain tribes are holding others down while they hold the entire country down.

Idia Amin opposed the west. Abacha did. Nguemo did. All the men that have ruled Africa haved used this formula. But when you look at people who started the journey with us, like Singapore, South Korea, Saudi, etc., whose resources were exploited and you notice how divergent and progressive their formula was.

Singapore, in fact, after splitting from Malaysia, didn't ditch English language because of international trade. Here, someone calls it progressive when wigs are replaced by traditional court attires. We are not a serious people.

Oga, stop writing an epistle. You don't live in Burkina Faso. Only those who live there can tell you whether he's a good leader or not.

The media can be used to shape people's views about leaders. You just formed your opinion based on what you are fed in the media. I won't write more than this.
Exactly. The guy hasn't really made the country better than he met it but they are calling him an African hero. Ditching the west is not tantamount to development but that's our definition of it.

How was that a foul
VAR didn't call it because it wasn't a foul
The question should be how was that not a foul? He didn't go for the ball but to impede the defender. How was that not a foul? Is that allowed in football? I don't have energy for this though.

I will need to rewatch that part again

You may have a point
Generally, fans view Barca differently because of one or two errors in their past. If it was the other way round it will be the main point of discussion in this thread.

VAR didn't even bother to review it and when the coach complained he was given a yellow card. Like how exactly did they miss that? They know better.

That wasn’t a foul… the defender was in a disadvantage already
Someone tries to clear the ball and you directly block them leading to them falling and a goal? Can you step on a player trying to clear the ball? Did Dumfries go for the ball or the leg?

How did the referee blow end of half time in extra time when inter was on a deadly attack

I have never seen that before!

What about allowing an obvious foul on Martin at the 93rd minute for Inter's goal? Was that not a foul? VAR didn't even bother to call it.
