At the end of a well attended sensitization submit held on 19th January 2019, the people of Abak 5 noted with appreciation the developmental strides of Mr. President MUHAMADU BUHARI, GCFR and the several appointments Mr. President has given to Akwa Ibom indigenes particularly the appointment of OBONG NSIMA EKERE as the managing Director of the NIGER DELTA DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (NDDC).

The good people of Abak 5 thank Mr. PRESIDENT for the award of contract for the construction of Abak-Ekparakwa-Ikot Abasi Road, like the Proverbial Oliver twist, the people respectfully request MR. PRESIDENT to consider the Dualization of the said road being a major link between the people of Abak 5 and the East West Road and the proposed LIBERTY OIL $ GAS FREE TRADE ZONE, IKOT ABASI. Similarly, the people ionately pray Mr. PRESIDENT to Direct the re-activation of Dualization of the OBEHIE-IWUKEM-EKPARAKWA ROAD which work had practically been abandoned.

The Government of Akwa ibom State under UDOM EMMANUEL istration plans to hijack Npower with a fake form circulated today at the Dakkada Secretariat earlier today. A plan mapped out to deduct money from the of all Npower beneficiary in Akwa ibom.

Npower beneficiaries were seen lamenting the plans of state Government to shortchanged them on the scheme the federal government initiated to take some unemployed youths off crimes and other socoal vices.

According to one of the beneficiary,who spoke in confidence with the news Crew
She said she thought UDOM EMMANUEL was calling them for Xmas gifts and packages just to come and see one photocopies circulated to deduct 1000 from beneficiaries in the name of Npower ID card.

Officials of Npower disassociated themselves from the form and promised to investigate and clamped down the perpetrators.

Npower beneficiaries vowed not to comply and condemned the state government actions.
