Lots of federal universities in the north don't have a church on campus. The university will not give land to Christians to build church. We only use class rooms. At a point they wanted to ban christians from using class rooms so that we can continue under mango trees. Islam is victimizing more of the Christians. Adeleke is a private university, Is not a must to attend.
And the Federal Universities In South East and South South Get Mosque Abi?
MURIC SLAMS ADELEKE UNIVERSITY FOR DISRUPTING FASTING
An Islamic human rights organization, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), has alleged that Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State, has been disrupting Ramadan activities of its Muslim students. The organization also accused the tertiary institution of forcing Muslim students to attend church programmes.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday, 20th March, 2025 by the Executive Director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola.
He said:
“The headquarters of the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has received several complaints of attempts to tactically de-Islamise and forcefully christianise Muslim students in Adeleke University, Ede.
“The methods adopted by the university to achieve this objective include compelling attendance of all students (including the Muslims among them) at the university’s church programmes. The supererogatory prayer held in Ramadan evenings (tarawih) was reportedly disrupted two days ago and the students were warned never to try it again.
“These are signs of religious intolerance. We have said it times without number that Christians in the South weaponize education to convert Muslims. As far back as year 2019, MURIC leveled serious allegation of religious persecution against Adeleke University. We also asked the National Universities Commission (NUC) to investigate the allegation.
“We said, ‘Adeleke University is a serial violator of Allah-given fundamental rights of Muslim students. This institution forces Muslim students to attend church on Sundays. It makes it mandatory for students living in the hostel to attend church every Wednesday and Saturday.
“We continued, ‘The practice of any other faith on campus except Christianity is banned. Muslim students must not be seen observing Salat. Hijab is a taboo in Adeleke University. Yet all these Islamophobic practices are smartly hidden from prospective students of the institution until they have paid the exorbitant school fees and can no longer withdraw.’
“‘In particular, we invite NUC to take a look at the students’ handbook of this institution, especially pages 7, 49, 50, 56 and 60. These pages, to our mind, contain rules that infringe on the religious freedom of Muslim students. As a regulating body, NUC has a duty to intervene in this matter as part of its oversight function on Nigeria’s universities’, our 2019 statement added (https://dailypost.ng/2019/06/18/adeleke-university-accused-forcing-muslims-attend-church/).
“We are deeply worried that five years down the line, Adeleke University continues to victimize, stereotype and traumatize Muslim students. Though not all, other private universities in the South are also neck deep into these obnoxious and ignoble practices and MURIC has cried out against them before.
“In other climes, mere exposure of this kind of inhuman and denigrating treatment in the media is enough to spur the relevant agencies to action. Why is that of Nigeria different? What are the public affairs of those agencies doing? What is NUC waiting for? This issue is already in the public domain and NUC is part of this larger society. The Muslim parents who reported are taxpayers. They want this investigated.
“We are aware that Christian private universities deceive Muslim students into committing themselves to their institutions by hiding their religious prejudices until the Muslim students pay school fees and are fully ed. This is an area in which oversight authorities should show interest. Private universities must manifest transparency and this should begin from showing their religious inclination.”

So many of us woke up this morning to the news that Allen Onyema is in trouble with the US authorities, and the US authorities are looking for him and Air Peace's chief finance officer, Ejiroghene Eghagha.
What are the issues, and what are the issues that Allen Onyema allegedly did to warrant this humiliation and scrutiny that he is currently facing?
For easy understanding, I will break it down into three parts.
So here we go.
Part 1
Between 2010 and 2018, Onyema travelled frequently to Atlanta, where he opened several personal and business bank s. More than $44.9 million was allegedly transferred into his Atlanta-based s from foreign sources.
The money was transferred from NGO s controlled by Allen Onyema.
By the time Allen started transferring the money in 2010, there was no Air Peace; Air Peace was founded in 2014.
So between 2010 and 2014, Allen Onyema transferred millions of dollars into his US without any substantial business to back this income up.
But that is not the issue that got him into trouble with the US authorities.
Let’s quickly move to Part 2 of the series.
Part 2
Air Peace was already in existence at that time.
As a smart businessman, Allen wanted to make quick money from foreign exchange transactions, so this is what he did.
He got CBN to give him dollars at the official rate after paying the Naira worth of the dollar he needs, which was $20 million at that time.
The reason why he requested the $20 million was to buy five Boeing aircraft from the manufacturers in the US.
The money was released to him by CBN into his Fidelity bank , and it was instantly moved to the US.
He wanted to buy the aircraft from a company called Springfield Aviation Company LLC, a business ed in Georgia.
However, the ing documents were allegedly fake: Springfield Aviation Company LLC was owned by Allen Onyema and managed on his behalf by a person with no connection to the aviation business, and Springfield Aviation never owned the aircraft they purported to sell to Air Peace.
Immediately Springfield Aviation Company LLC, owned by Allen Onyema, got the money; it was sent to his US bank controlled by Allen Onyema, who laundered at the money and sent the money back to Nigeria.
Let me explain what Allen did here.
2016 was a crazy year in Nigeria; it was the year that the dollar was scarce and was also sold higher in the black market.
So businessmen like Allen Onyema that had access collected dollars from CBN at the official rate only to repatriate the money back to Nigeria and then reseller black market rate, which was double of the money spent to buy the dollar.
So you buy a dollar at 200 to $ and then resell it at 400 to $1 without breaking a sweat.
A very cool business at that time that was highly lucrative, which highly connected businessmen at that time did under Buhari only that Allen Onyema was unlucky to be the scape goat.
Even though Allen Onyema was trying to be street smart by doing what he did, moving money around like that and using it for another purpose different from the reason CBN gave it to you is called money laundering in the US and a very big offence in that country.
So in a nutshell, Allen Onyema and his staff committed the offence of money laundering, and this case has been on since 2019.
Seeing that the US government is looking for him and his bank in the US, which has millions of dollars, was frozen, Allen and his staff committed another offence called obstruction of justice, which is what we would discuss in Part 3.
Part 3
But in a desperate attempt to keep the funds and outsmart the U.S. law enforcement, Mr. Onyema connived with Mrs. Eghagha to create a fraudulent contract, “Aircraft Sales and Management Agreement between Springfield Aviation and Air Peace,” in May 2019. They backdated the contract to 2016 to make it seem like the contract existed before the first aircraft purchase.
In May 2019, upon discovering that he was under investigation in the Northern District of Georgia for bank fraud, Onyema and Eghagha allegedly directed the Springfield Aviation manager to sign a key business contract but also specifically told her to not date the document.
In October 2019, Onyema allegedly caused his attorneys to present that same contract, now falsely dated as being signed on May 5, 2016 (prior to the bank fraud that began in 2016), to the government in an effort to stop the investigation and unfreeze his bank s.
Mr. Onyema and his staff, Mrs. Eghagha, then gave the fraudulent contract to their lawyer, who, in turn, submitted it to the U.S. Attorney’s office, where he explained that his client’s actions were not criminal to warrant a forfeiture of assets.
The act of falsifying documents to prevent forfeiture of the seized funds, according to the grand jury, was deemed a conspiracy to obstruct justice and obstruction of justice.
In essence, Allen and his staff presented a fake document to the US government in order to cover their tracks, which is another entirely new offence.
Investigators found that Mrs. Eghagha sent a mail to Ms. Mayfield to sign the management agreement with a strict instruction stating “do not date.”
“Kindly help, print, and sign the attached document,” Mrs. Eghagha wrote in the mail on May 16, 2019, coping with Mr. Onyema. “Do not date, please.”
“Once you have signed, kindly scan back to me. Let me know via WhatsApp if you have any questions,” she added in the mail.
Ms. Mayfield did as instructed and resent the scanned contract to Mrs. Eghagha on May 17, 2019.
Mr. Onyema “caused his attorney J.H. to send” the fraudulent contract to the U.S. Attorney’s office “with the hopes of resolving the government’s concern and bringing the matter to a close.” The Air Peace CEO had intended for the contract to free him of any pending forfeiture proceeding.
The phrase “caused his attorney J.H.” suggests that Mr. Onyema’s lawyer may have testified against his client that he was not complicit in submitting forged documents to free his client’s assets.
It is illegal for a lawyer and his client to knowingly commit fraud, as doing so would nullify attorney-client privilege, thereby activating the crime fraud exception.
The fresh set of charges of obstructing justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice has resurrected what would have otherwise been a cold case of money-laundering against the Air Peace boss.
So in a nutshell
Allen Onyema’s alleged offences are categorised into 2
1) Money laundry
2) Falsyong documents in order to obstruct justice
That Allen Onyema was a victim of this schoolboy error as a businessman is simply because Air Peace did not have a corporate structure and a robust board of directors in place before the first case of the Money Laundry case happened in 2016.
Because if they do, the board won’t have authorised Allen Onyema to engage in money laundering in order to make a quick profit. No board worry; it's salt would allow the CEO to engage in that kind of unethical transaction.
They could not have authorised him to present false documents in 2019 after he was caught by the US authorities with his hands in the jar.
Apparently, Allen Onyema is the Alpha and Omega of Air Peace, and he is paying the price for this in a big way.
A big lesson for my generation of entrepreneurs: structure your business.
Put proper structure in place. Incorporate sound corporate governance for your business once your revenue crosses $1 million annually.
It is for a reason, and one of them is to avoid the humiliation of seeing your pictures all over the internet as Allen Onyema is currently going through.
Despite owning an airline that flies international routes, Mr. Onyema cannot risk travelling to the U.S. and likely other nations deemed America’s allies for fear of being arrested and extradited, as was the case with Internet fraudsters Hushpuppi and Woodberry.
Air Peace is the poster boy of the Nigerian airline business, so this embarrassing story is very bad, and the optics are not good on Air Peace no matter the lens you look at it.

Thank God that there are still certain individuals from the Yoruba stock who are reasonable, rational and commonsensical. Sometimes when I want to write how I feel about the Yoruba tribe, seeing how tribalistic most of them have become just because Bola Tinubu is from their tribe, I refrain when I see that some of them still stand for truth, justice and fairness. I will never put all of them in one sack, because you have good and bad people from every tribe. May God bless our HUMAN RACE!
But Igbos that gave 99.9% of their Votes to Obi aren't Tribalistic abi

Yoruba Muslims endangered species in Tinubu’s istration, says Islamic scholar
President Tinubu
• Condemns continued political exclusion, “Bourdillonisation’, ‘Redeemednization’ of government
• Says Muslims ‘voted for President, Christians reaping benefits’
Top Muslim scholar and Chairman, Oyo State Muslim Community, Alhaji Kunle Sanni, has described Yoruba Muslims as the endangered species in the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led-istration
Alhaji Sanni made this statement in a 26-minute video clip obtained by Muslim News on Friday, where he berated the exclusion of Yoruba Muslims from critical political appointments despite their contributions to the electoral success of President Tinubu.
He said, ‘During the election, myself, the Supreme Council for Shari’ah, Izalah, Yoruba Muslim intellectuals, concerned Muslim organisations, among others, went out of our way to campaign for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This was because he was under serious attack from non-Muslims who believed that a Muslim-Muslim ticket would enslave the Christians in Nigeria and put them at the back of all the activities in the country, politically, istratively, financially and otherwise.
“People like us felt that the only reason Tinubu was under such barrage of attacks was because he carries the name Ahmed. He has never been known to be a Muslim activist or a bigot or a fundamentalist. We knew that his coming out with the Muslim-Muslim ticket was just a kind of political calculation being a true follower of Chief M.K.O Abiola who had attempted a similar arrangement considering what Nigeria is.”
President Tinubu came under serious attack of Christians, especially the Yoruba Christians, after he made his choice of running mate, Kashim Shettima — a Kanuri Muslim from Borno State — known in the run-up to the 2023 general elections.
Alhaji Sanni
Muslim News reports that apart from vilifying him, majority of Yoruba Christians also went ahead to vote against him during the election leading to his loss in traditional Yoruba states, including his stronghold Lagos State.
With the resilient of Yoruba Muslims and their northern counterparts, Tinubu coasted to victory and was sworn in as the successor of former President Muhammadu Buhari despite the issues generated by the Muslim-Muslim ticket.
In his video, which was released on Friday at a time a delegation of Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) visited President Tinubu in State House, Abuja, Alhaji Sanni said what the Muslim-Muslim ticket and its outcome indicated was that Muslims are in the overwhelming majority in Nigeria.
“Apart from the fact that Tinubu came out with a Muslim-Muslim ticket, we had some other prominent Muslims like Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso in the race. Even, Abdullateef Kola Abiola also contested.
In spite of having so many Muslims, with at least three leading candidates contesting against one Christian, Peter Obi, a Muslim still won the election. That has been resolved because it happened before in 1993 when Chief Abiola also dusted the election, having contested against Alhaji Tofa, another Muslim. He was still able to defeat the only Christian candidate at that time,” he said.
Alhaji Sanni further said that he had maintained reservation about President Tinubu’s first set of appointments because he felt that he was simply rewarding his boys who have been close to him for decades.
“When appointments were being made and complaints came from Yoruba Muslims because there were few Muslims and many Christians, we thought that what was being unveiled was the appointment of those that were very close to Asiwaju. So, we told our people that these are Bourdillon boys. And for Tinubu as we knew him, that was going to be irrespective of state, religion or tribe. They were just his boys and they should be allowed to be put in positions of authority. It has nothing to do with Yorubanisation. We say in unmistakable that it is Bourdillonisation. And we should allow them,” he said.
He, however, lamented the turn of events as the skewed appointments continued unabated, and tilted towards the Redeemed Church faction of Christians.
The Yoruba Muslim stakeholder said it was the antics of two cabals in the Tinubu istration who are card-carrying of the Redeemed Church.
“But before we could say Jack Robinson, it turned into a deep mess when the appointees happen to be prominent Christians. They were not only prominent Christians, but also prominent of the Redeemed Church and even pastors of the Redeemed Church.
These appointments point to the president’s wife and his son, Seyi Tinubu, who are loyal of Redeemed Church.
The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is a member and pastor of the Redeemed Church. The Yoruba Muslims are becoming endangered species under the Muslim-Muslim ticket as it has metamorphosed to a Christian government.
“I need to mention some of them that give us concerns about the fate of Muslims in the south. The Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Zaccheus Adedibu Adedeji; National Commissioner of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission Dr. Vincent Olatunji; Director General of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) Engr. Abisoye Odusote; Chairman Tax Reform Committee, Mr Taiwo Oyedele; Economic Adviser to the President, Mr Tope Fasua; Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Industry, Mr Olasupo Olusi; to mention but a few of the appointments that have been made with virtually all being Christians and majority of them of the Redeemed Church.
It is more or less a Redeemed Church istration if we are to consider the appointees from Yorubaland. People now say it is probably better to expand the size of the church in Aso Rock and reduce the size of the mosque or even close it down entirely.
“Would it be a fallacy to say that Muslims are now endangered species in this istration?
“The President got Muslim-Muslim votes but he is running a Christian-Christian istration. It is enjoyment galore for Christians who now have the opportunity to fix their children in strategic MDAs of government.
“In the days of Buhari, the rumor mill had it that the cabals were many. But today, we now have a woman and a man as the cabal in this istration. The government of Buhari had a Pastor Yemi Osinbajo as vice president, so it was not strange that a lot of Redeemed Church got appointment. But it was not as total as what we are having now in this istration.”
Alhaji Sanni said it would be wrong to keep quiet while accusing fingers are being pointed to him and his colleagues who tried as much as possible to the Tinubu istration when it was in the incubator.
He also queried if Muslims in northern Nigeria are happy with the istration of President Tinubu, considering the trend of his appointments favouring Yoruba Christians mostly.
Alhaji Sanni noted that Muslims in the north hold the key to the electoral victory of Nigeria’s President whether it is liked or not.
He cited the ill-treatment meted out to former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, noting there are feelers that it was a strategy to clip his wings ahead of 2027.
“The former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, one of the most brilliant and cerebral politicians of the northern stock, was thrown overboard for what people think is his profile getting richer. Right or wrong, this is the belief in the political circle. A 2027 strategy they say was to put people like El-Rufai aside because he was supposed to fix the power. But if he is becoming too powerful in power, it is better he is not allowed to restore the power, one of the greatest problems we have in this country.
“If El-Rufai played the most strategic role in bringing Asiwaju to power, should he be rewarded with being thrown overboard? Is that not an act of ingratitude? People in the north are crying Yorubanisation, but it is actually Christianisation. We knew that if the Christians were not satisfied, they would have cried to high heavens. But they have shown to be happy with the government.”
Alhaji Sanni appealed to the president to immediately correct his highly lopsided appointments, noting that any politician that ignores the Muslims does so at his own peril.
“Muslims are not asking that he should be unjust to non-Muslims. Muslims are at least 65 percent of the population of this country. But if we get 50 percent appointment, we are okay. We are never Oliver Twist. A politician ignores the Muslims at his own peril.”
Muslims are more than Christians in Israel yet Hamas no send, he was killing anyone he saw on 7th October. I don't know why Muslims are ing the killing of their fellow Muslims in Israel
