somehow:£1500 is for couple. Advisable to come with your partner - make things easier. Most countries doesn't allow students to work full time (USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA ETC). Even in the UK, the law is relaxed. I have seen students working more than 20hrs without any wahala. It's up to you to know how to balance it well with your studies. Though I won't advise any student to work more than 20 hrs/week. But I have seen single students paying off their fees, pay back what they borrowed, buy cars as student and uni with Distinction. The hustle is different for different people! 6 Likes 1 Share |

BigDawsNet:It's still the same thing. After your expenses, I have stated what you can save at Minimum wage Jobs (whether in Pound and conversion to local currency in Naira). You & your partner stand to earn more after school- as two of you can work full time and also explore other options to earn more by looking for something professional. |

somehow:Most students earn between 700-800 pound after tax. They have some kind of tax relief cos they don't earn much (PAYE). In the UK, your earnings get better after school. Means you and your partner can work full time. Also, all my analysis is based on Minimum wage. You do the minimum wage jobs while looking for something better to do. |

In the UK, most people doing menial jobs earn 10 pound/hour. For student: You can work 20hrs/week. That's like 80hrs/month, which is 800 pound. Worst case, you get like 700 pound. 700 pound = 560,000 naira. Reason it's advisable to come with a dependant cos you will struggle to pay bills and pay fees as a single person. Same is obtainable in other countries..America, Canada, Australia. (Students are always limited by number of hours they can work). If you have a dependant that works full time, he/she can make up to 2500 pound per month (at minimum wage job). 2500 pound = 2million naira. Now 2500+800 = 3300 pound, worst case 3k pound for couple per month. 3k pound = 2.4million naira. Their expenses cannot exceed 1500 pound per month, so they can still save 1500 pound (1.2million Naira). School fees payment is in instalments in most schools. So they will be fine in the long run. It's difficult for most couple to save this amount in Nigeria. In abroad, you must work to chop o. Everything is systemic, you can't rush! 13 Likes 2 Shares |

Hi House, I'm an IT person. I live in the UK and currently on post study visa with my wife now. She's done with her studies already. I got some IT offers but none of the company are ready to sponsor. I have undertaken some IT contract Jobs in the past but I'm really out for a full time role that comes with a Tier-2 visa sponsorship. My dilemma now is that I got a work (health ) that is ready to sponsor me ![]() |

Ih123:Your parent can sponsor you. Your proof of fund (from your parent) if sufficient to cover for both of you can also sponsor you and your husband. If you decide to go first, then your husband will apply as your dependant. In this case, his Proof of fund will be in his own (as your father cannot sponsor him alone). 1 Like |

Good day guys, I’m applying for my visa together with my dependant ( husband and son). Will I apply for them separately and pay each IHS fee and visa separately. Because, I just got to the final stage now and I discovered nothing was mentioned about my dependant ihs and visa fee. Will I raise a separate application for them? Thank you guys |

wallg123:Yeah he's just considering the option of moving with his wife. He knew that he can earn more if he get a professional job in the UK but he's not sure of job opportunities amidst this covid. Though he's open to anything to do anything legit so far it brings money until he get something suitable for him. |

Hello Everyone, My wife got her Tier 4 visa just this week and she will be going to the UK next week , Now we're planning that I should apply as a dependent probably next month so that I can her later. My questions: (1) What type of visa will I apply for? (2) Do I need any document from her to apply as a dependent? (3) If I receive the visa, must I resident and work in the UK? What if I decided to continue with my work here in Nigeria. (4) Will I also qualify for PSW visa after her studies? Thanks guys in anticipation of your response to the above. cc mimilyrics justwise others 1 Like |

Good day guys, I'll like to ask if the visa office is open for T4 visa application. Can we start applying for visa with the assurance that we get an interview date? Also for the TB test, can we go for the test now? I'm sorry if I sound novice, but I need to be sure we can proceed with this action points even during this Corona pandemic. Thanks guys |

Hello house, I'm sorry if I sound like a novice but I really want someone to enlighten me about this UK tier 4 visa thing: My wife intends to study for a one year Msc in the UK by September and want to stay back after studies leveraging on PSW. The plan is to check on her during studies and probably fully settle down with her after studies. But I just get to know we can go together, and that one person will be a dependent..... If we want to go together, how much are we expected to have in our after paying her school fees to have our Visa approved. Someone should help on how this works. Thanks |

NOC1:Pa Bisi Akande is the Engine room of Tinubu’s Political think tank. He hardly make any decision without his input & critical scrutiny. They’re 5 & 6, die-hard ally, Tinubu foot all his bills home & abroad, infact Pa Bisi has a suite specially to himself in Tinubu house. Tinubu=Akande, you can’t separate the two! 1 Like |
