Yesterday in my community, a lady reported that her husband assaulted her.
Now in my community, slapping, attracts a fine of 50k.
Fighting attracts a fine of 100k, 24 stroke of the cane and 1 carton of beer.
Threats of any sort attracts 100k and 1carton of beer.
Back to my story, the husband was arrested and whipped 24 stroke, and was made to pay a fine of 50k and 1 carton of beer.
And afterwards was sternly warned by the youths never to lay a finger on his woman again.
He was given a bottle of beer and told to take his wife home.
Men in the house, how would you live with your wife after such humiliation?
What amused me was the type of men and youths that came out to embarrass and advised the man on how to govern his home.

Jane Edidiong Ufot, the daughter of Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno, has posted a video on social media accusing him of sacrificing his deceased wife (her mother). Patience Oluwakemi Umo Eno died in September 2024 over an undisclosed illness.
Mrs Ufot, appointed as a senior special adviser to the governor on health, safety and environment, blasted her father, insisting that she would not be sacrificed the way her mother was, alleging a sinister threat to her life and that of her little daughter.
“I’m not a sacrifice, mummy was, but I’m not,” thundered the governor’s daughter.
Mrs Ufot handed the phone to her little daughter, who appeared to be on a video call with Mr Eno. Mrs Ufot told her daughter to ask the governor whether he wanted to kill her (his grandchild).
“So, Grandpa, do you want them to kill us?” the minor asked, repeating the question as instructed. “Do you want them to die like my baby brother died?”
There was no audible response from the governor during the exchange, and it remains unclear who the child was referring to when she mentioned “them.”
Mrs Ufot said her life was on the line due to undisclosed revelations that may soon come to light.
“If I die today or my daughter dies. If we die because God is exposing the truth, so be it. But my blood will not go scot-free,” the governor’s daughter cried out.
Efforts to get the governor’s comment on his daughter’s accusations were unsuccessful as the line of his media aide, Ekerete Udoh, was switched off.

2027 Presidency: South West Should Produce All Presidential Candidates, South East in 2031 – Lamido
The leader of Arewa Summit International, Dr. Bashir Lamido, has called for the South West to produce all presidential candidates for the 2027 elections, while advocating that the South East should take the same opportunity in 2031.
Speaking during a high-level political dialogue on zoning and national cohesion held in Abuja on Friday , Dr. Lamido emphasised that this rotational approach would promote unity, fairness, and long-term political stability across Nigeria.
“For the sake of equity, national integration, and the stability of our democracy, we believe the South West should present all presidential candidates in 2027. Then, come 2031, the South East – which has long awaited its turn – should be given the full platform to produce the next president,” Lamido stated.
Arewa Summit International, under Dr. Lamido’s leadership, has become a leading northern-based political think tank known for its pan-Nigerian vision and commitment to bridging regional divides.
He further stressed that the proposal is not about excluding any group, but rather about setting a national precedent for justice and inclusion.

It should be the turn of the north in 2031. They forget that the North has spent more years leading the country than any other region.

I've made some previous posts about how my wife threatens me with leaving our marriage everytime we have small issues (I didn't post it with this ).
She always threaten to leave anytime we have misunderstandings, not even only misunderstandings, even when we are having normal conversations and someone refers to maybe a bad marriage experience, she always says if it's her she will leave. I've spoken to her about it several times, I have even spoken to her family about the issue but it keeps repeating itself.
She has this kind of mentality that she can leave the marriage at any time I do something to her and she repeats it every time, the last one was during an outing when we had a misunderstanding, even before hearing my own side of the story, she said she already tired of the marriage and wants to leave, so I told her to go if she wants. The next morning, she came to wake me up and told me she doesn't want to do again that she wants to leave, she said she'll call her people and I should call my people. I said fine.
I told my family about it, and they ed me because a woman can't threaten me with marriage after one child.
Another thing my wife does is that she constantly compares me to other men, telling people I don't provide for my family, I don't take care of her, to the extent her friends are telling her that if a man doesn't provide for his woman, then he's pushing her out to meet other men.
In regards to the issue of providing, when we met, things were going very well, it was just the two of us and I had money at the time, I took her on vacation, booked flights for her, bought her hairs, a new phone and all. But now we have a child, added responsibilities, and money isn't as it used to be before but one thing I never do is to starve my family.
Last year I made close to 20m but I didn't see the money, not because I'm an extravagant spender but because of family expenses, I can't even explained what happened to the money aside the fact that I bought a car.
I opened a business for her with almost 3 million, the business crumbled, she doesn't want to do anything, she stays home all day just pressing phone. If I don't have any money at all she can't me, she calls me for everything, even to as little as salt in the house.
She started comparing our marriage to when she was single, that she used to wear the lastest clothes and buy the lastest hair, and now she's married she doesn't get those things forgetting those where the thing I used to do for her when there was enough money.
This whole thing has made me tired of the marriage and I don't feel like continuing it any more, I've told her to call her people since she doesn't want to continue the marriage so they can return the bride price. I just want to focus on my life

This matter is fundamentally legislative—a dispute between Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Both are colleagues in the same red chamber, both sworn to serve the nation under the same Constitution. Why, then, has the executive arm of government inserted itself, seemingly taking sides?
Why is the Federal Government suddenly acting as a political bodyguard for Senator Akpabio? Where is the impartiality expected of the state? Who authorized this deployment of legal and security institutions in what appears to be a one-sided defense?
Let’s be honest with ourselves: this is how institutions collapse—not through war, but through selective justice, politically motivated witch-hunts, and state-sponsored silence.
Is this why Senator Akpabio withdrew from the presidential ? Was it to create space to pursue a personal agenda against Senator Natasha behind closed doors? If a Senate President is at the center of such serious allegations, shouldn’t he step aside from leadership entirely—at least pending a credible investigation?
Or did he exit the with one objective: to orchestrate a media narrative, complete with a suspiciously “cloned” voice note allegedly crafted by known propagandists? Was it all designed to manipulate public perception and cast Senator Natasha as a national threat?
If this isn’t a politically engineered ambush, then why does it appear that the state is targeting one senator while the other enjoys unfettered power?
They may cloak this campaign in the legal language of Penal Code Section 391 and stage it in courtrooms, but strip away the formalities and what remains? A vindictive assault on a woman who refused to apologize for telling the truth.
So, once again, we must ask:
Who is the Federal Government truly fighting for—God, or Godswill?
