West Ham United manager David Moyes and two of the club's players have tested positive for coronavirus.
The Premier League club were informed of the positive tests while preparing for Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie against Hull City at London Stadium.
Moyes, 57, defender Issa Diop, 23, and 24-year-old midfielder Josh Cullen will now be required to self-isolate.
"The manager and both players immediately left the stadium and have returned home," said a club statement.
West Ham said the three men were all asymptomatic and assistant manager Alan Irvine took charge of the Hull match, which both Diop and Cullen were due to start.
Public Health England guidelines state those with Covid-19 should self-isolate for at least 10 days, meaning Moyes, Diop and Cullen will not be able to attend training or the league game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 27 September.
BBC Radio 5 Live's John Southall said the trio travelled to the ground with the squad in two or three separate coaches.
"They say they all social distanced, the squad, from when they met up and throughout the journey," he said.
"As soon as they arrived, the results from the tests done yesterday came through and the two players and the manager were isolated immediately in separate rooms and left the ground very quickly, I'm told.
"West Ham say they are satisfied nobody else in the squad needs to self-isolate and that is why the game went ahead."
The news comes after Leyton Orient v Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup third round on Tuesday was called off because a number of the home players had contracted coronavirus.
It came on the day the government announced a raft of new coronavirus restrictions for England which could last for up to six months.
As part of the stricter rules, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed plans for fans to return to watch live sport events in England from 1 October will not go ahead.
Sports bodies have been told not to expect spectators at stadiums and venues until the end of March at the earliest.

The Nigerian Institute Of Medical Research Develops Rapid Test Kit For COVID-19
The Nigerian Institute of Medical Research at Yaba, Lagos, says it has developed molecular test kit for COVID-19.
The research institute says the test kit is known as the SARS CoV-2 Isothermal Molecular Assay, SIMA.
The test kit is for COVID-19 detection, according to the institute’s Director-General, Prof. Babatunde Salako.
In a chat with PUNCH Healthwise, on Friday, Salako said the innovation was borne out of the global sample testing challenges experienced by scientists and physicians.
Speaking on the importance of the test kit in the fight against the global pandemic, Salako said, “While no effective vaccine has been developed to date, case detection remains the surest way of controlling the pandemic.
“Molecular laboratories remain limited in number, and people living in remote areas are at a disadvantage when it comes to getting tested.
“Testing centres are also limited and mostly available in urban areas. The molecular test kits are, therefore, one sure way to confirm the presence or otherwise of the virus in a population,” he said.

The National Industrial Court, Abuja, on Wednesday, ordered the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) to cease its industrial action immediately.
Delivering a ruling in an order of interim injunction, the judge, Ibrahim Galadima, also ordered NARD to resume duties forthwith pending determination of the pending motion on notice.
Mr Galadima made the order as a sequel to an ex parte application filed by Frank Tietie, counsel to the applicant, Citizens Advocacy for Social&Economic Rights and Association of Women in Trade&Agriculture.
In the application, the applicant had prayed for an interim order of the court directing the NARD, being a provider of the essential services of health necessary to the fundamental right to life, to immediately cease its strike action and resume duties forthwith pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice.
The court, after granting the prayer, also fixed Oct. 8, for the hearing of the substantive suit.
ed as co-respondents in the motion are the Minister of Health, Minister of Labour&Productivity and Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that NARD embarked on the strike on Sept. 7 to resolve issues bordering on group life insurance for doctors and other health care workers.
Part of their grievance was also payments of death-in-service benefit to next of kin/beneficiaries, universal implementation of the Medical Residency Training Act in all federal and state hospitals.
NARD equally wanted the review of the hazard allowance of healthcare workers and payment of the COVID-19 inducement allowance. https://www.timesng.com/news/more-news/415064-industrial-court-orders-resident-doctors-to-resume-work-immediately.html

JOHESU, in a statement on Sunday, has told its to withdraw services from midnight of Sunday, September 13, 2020, since nothing concrete was achieved at the meeting with the Federal Government.
According to the statement, leaders of various health unions in the sector unanimously reached the decision at the end of their expanded National Executive Council.
“In the light of the above, the meeting of our expanded NEC was held Saturday 12 September 2020. And at the end of the meeting, which was held both physically and virtually, it was unanimously agreed that since nothing concrete was achieved at the said meeting with the Federal Government, that the strike notice is still germane and alive.
“Therefore, the 15-day ultimatum still subsists and with effect from midnight of Sunday, 13th September, 2020 our shall withdraw their services due to Federal Government’s inability to meet their demands,” the statement added.

The demands of the aggrieved workers include; the review of the defective implementation of COVID-19 Special Inducement and Hazard Allowance; the payment of all withheld salaries of JOHESU , including the withheld April and May 2018 salaries; and the adjustment of Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) as was done with Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS) since 2014.

Abia State has through its ‘Saving One Million Lives Project’ recorded a remarkable decline in maternal and child mortality rate in the State.
The Project Manager, Suzzy Nwachukwu, who disclosed this said the programme has recorded huge successes especially in the area of ing nutrition of vitamin A, immunisation vaccine, and malaria control for children under five years.
According to her, the programme, which started in 2017, has also impacted enormously in the lives of women of child bearing age.
She advised mothers to improve their health behaviour as it will reduce the rate of maternal and child mortality in the country.
The Save One Million Lives Project is a performance-based assessment program sponsored by the Federal Government in collaboration with the World Bank.

Abia agriculture commissioner Ikechi Mgboji has warned residents against eating cow lungs so as to avoid contracting Bovine Tuberculosis which had been found in the state.
The commissioner, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Aba, said that the warning became necessary following the discovery of some cows infected with the ailment.
Bovine Tuberculosis is a chronic disease of animals caused by a bacteria called Mycobacterium bovis, which is closely related to the bacteria that cause human and avian Tuberculosis.
Mgboji said that the disease, which affects cow lungs, was discovered two weeks ago in Aba.
He said that the disease causes a general state of illness that result into coughing and eventual death.
“Part of our work in this ministry is that any cow offered for public consumption is usually examined by veterinary doctors.
“About two weeks ago, two of such cows, when killed, were found to have Bovine Tuberculosis. There is no way to detect a cow with such a disease unless it is either killed or tested.
“So we decided to alert people who eat beef to stop eating the lungs of cows for now. But they may eat the flesh.
“They should stop eating that particular organ for now until we are able to determine if it is a very exceptional case or a prevalent case,” the commissioner said.
Mgboji said that the ministry had alerted veterinary doctors, who operate at the abattoirs, to watch out for such disease manifestation to determine its spread to safeguard lives.
He also said that the Abia agriculture ministry had alerted cow dealers to the discovery so that they would allow health officials to test their cows.
“The goal is to safeguard the lives of beef consumers,” he said.
Mgboji regretted that cow dealers had not shown interest in having their cows tested to determine their fitness for human consumption, adding that their quest for profit was a threat to human health.
“The Board of Internal Revenue (BIR) is sending touts to inspect the meat and get them money. The poser is `how can a tout, who has no training in veterinary medicine, inspect meat in abattoirs?
“That is what we find in Nigeria; when you speak, you make enemies unnecessarily for yourself.
“When you have the BIR pushing the touts just to get money for them, it makes our work difficult, but in spite of all that, we will do our best to safeguard lives of residents,” he said.
The commissioner said that the warning he gave was “throwing up dust in some quarters”, but explained that the measures were not for his personal good.
“Our goal is to protect Abia residents. That is all.” (NAN)

The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, has received samples of Russia’s COVID-19 from Russia’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Alexey Shebarshin.
In a statement by the Ministry’s Director of Information, Media, and Public Relations, Olujimi Oyetomi, the Russian envoy made the delivery during a visit to the ministry in Abuja.
Recall that the World Health Organisation, WHO, had said it would review the effectiveness of the vaccine when Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin, said they had approved a vaccine offering “sustainable immunity”.
Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Health’s statement entitled ‘Russian Federation Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Alexey L. Shebarshin on courtesy visit to Nigeria’s Health Ministers, Russian-made COVID-19 Vaccine finally here’, Ehanire “quickly referred” to the National Agency for Food and Drug istration and Control, NAFDAC, and the Nigeria Institute of Pharmaceutical Research and Development, and others for review and possible validation.

The Federal Government says the nationwide curfew in place in the country to restrict movement amid the coronavirus pandemic is now from 12am to 4am.
The National Coordinator of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19, Dr Sani Aliyu, made this known during a briefing at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, on Thursday.
Aliyu said, “I will first of all start with general movement. We are modifying the curfew to commence from 12 midnight to 4am nationwide, effective from 12:00 tonight.
“This does not apply to people on essential services and international travellers that might be returning from abroad.”
The PTF, following the lifting of the lockdown occasioned by the pandemic, had on May 4, 2020, imposed a nationwide curfew from 6pm to 8am. It later reviewed the timing to between 10pm and 4am on June 1, 2020.
