Maybe ur not living in Nigeria. The only way to shake Nigeria is by armed conflict. Niger delta militants did not kill anybody, they did not fight with the army. They just had to destroy what the government love so dearly (oil) and within just a few months, the president is talking about negotiation. That is how effective they are. U don't need to kill anybody before the government is shaken. Ipob have being agitating since 1999 and no government since then has taken u seriously, they killed 150 of Ipob protesters in one year alone, u people did nothing and the government did not even apologies, but u still did nothing. The truth is that there is nothing u can do in ur region that can shake Nigeria. What ever u do in ur region does not affect Abuja. But what the militants are doing in far away Niger delta is affecting Abuja as if it's near. The Niger delta is even yet to realize the kind of power they have. That is the only region that can shake Nigeria because That is where Nigeria Life Blood is, not not some waste land in the east
You rant too much, wonder why you are forcing yourself to stay with people you hate so much with ion, is it not someone in the state of psychopathic idiosyncrasies madness of inner subconsciousness.

The two circumstances are not the same:
Back then, the major forex earner, crude oil sold above $100 while the government, led by the Clueless Jogogoro presided over an unprecedented looting and squandermania of national resources with his famous shameless - Stealing is not Corruption - words of endorsement for this kleptomania. I
Presently, Nigerians are having to squarely face and suffer the consequential realities of their stolen and wasted future under the Jonathan istration - Buhari has not charmed Nigerians; they are not blind nor stupid; they have come to realise and accept the truth.
People are afraid because a tyrant is in power and he is ready to kill any protester, now that oil prices is down fuel price is supposed to be cheaper, in Europe, US,Asia, other African countries prices of fossil fuel has gone down drastically, prices go up when oil prices go up

Sorry o is it the northerners fault that the east due to hate voted immensely for PDP and not one APC candidate in the senate. You guys put all your eggs in one basket. amean how can u guys play this sort of dull politics and yet u feel entitled to a top 4 position. Did u expect APC to give a senator from the south east and from PDP senate presidency just to prove wat...? Nobody is marginalizing anybody u see all the position the northerners hav gained all this years is as a result of smart thinking infact till today u still have staunch PDP,LP,even APGA from the north. Next time encourage ur sons to spread into all parties and them to succeed so that u will be well represented. So blame yourselves you guys marginalized yourselves. Infact with the fulani herdsmen issue, nnamdi kanu case and biafra agitation are the northerner still preventing ur house of rep ,senators, governors and political leaders from take united front on those issues? How hav they been figthing for ur interest? And yet u guys will still vote PDP in 2019 and later start shouting marginalization again. SMH on u folks
You people are the problem of Nigeria.
Who is deceiving who.
Time will tell.
Even US don't practice one party system and you want one party system for others to benefit.

Their arrival is a little too late, the damage has already been done. The attack was so viscious and swift, that even the mods were taken unawares. This massacre only compares to the Rwandan genocide in of body counts per minute and before the mods could say jack, it was done and dusted! Scores currently stands at 200 deadly missiles fired by the Jews with scores of casualties as against a few poorly directed missiles fired by the Afonjas that landed on open fields with little or no damage.

OP is intellectually challenged.
Lagos state is the 5th biggest economy in Africa.
The entire economies of the South East will not even amount to one third of the economy of Lagos that is the smallest state in land space, but the largest in population and richest in Nigeria.
If the South East is booming, what are the IPOBs flooding Lagos state still doing here?
Lagos is not part of western Nigeria in Nigerian constitution, Lagos is no mans land build by all Nigerians with Nigerian collective wealth, SW cannot lay claim to Lagos alone, the same way north central cannot lay claim of Abuja,it is Nigeria collective money that was used to build Abuja and Lagos. The white people started building Lagos from palm oil proceeds from Eastern Nigeria which contributed more income as of that time followed by money from groundnut pyramid from North and cocoa from west. Later after independence Niger delta oil proceeds was use to make Lagos what it is today just as they are doing to Abuja now. Today Lagos and Kano receive highest allocation from ND oil sells.

like say you need to understand the power and position of un secretary general in decision making.
UN Secretary general has no power to influence anything, the security council has the power. UN is controlled by US with strong opposition from China,Russia and other of security council.

Hypocrisy is when you are fighting IPOB tooth and nail so that they will not break away to have Biafra and at the same time asking what the same people you are killing to remain with you contribute in your one Nigeria. That is total madness and living in self denial.

Silence? If it's silence, it would be better. Why is it that anywhere Fulani Herdsmen are killing people, the Army send soldiers to Arrest the youth of that place and tag them arm dealers? Isn't that a way to disarm the youth for further fulani attacks? And some people will be telling the youth to fight back. with what? with their bare hands when they have been disarmed?
That is the problem, as it stood now,it is the only UN can help them ooo,if they want to, the security operative in Nigeria is in the hand of those that is killing them.

Thank you. spot on!
Just as pointed out by shamecurls, the FG has acted silently. When violence becomes virtually a daily occurrence in Nigeria, you do not expect condemnation statements from the president, every day,do you? What is more important is action!
There is some violence that normal violence, and a sitting president most send condolences and assurances to secure life, this violence is a case of genocide and ethnic cleansing, it doesn't make sense for FG to act silently in this kind of brutality.
that world is watching.
Buhari will not rule Nigeria forever.
Time is moving.
This is how civil war start.

That has been done by his media aid and the IGP has taken the situation up.I like when you mentioned the Governor of such state who re excluded from the scenario when deliberating. How much more the LGA Chairman! People just expect the President to speak at every instance when there re institutions responsible for such conflicts. In a nut shell, CANS`s statement is inflammatory and probable of causing chaos and violence.
But I watch Buhari on a television talking about cattle rustling and sometime ago Brutai sending army to rescue cattle, why can't he send condolences to affected people and talk about measures to stop such occurrence. Let us forget our religious affiliations and reason with open mind.

When Shiites were being slaughtered,no body read any meanings to Buhari's silence.
Only mischief makers would expect the president to comment on every killings, bombings, robberies, kidnap, etc
The president style is talk less ,do more.
I noticed one thing about Buhari(because I am not a religious bigot,so I could see, without bias),apart from the fight against Boko Haram which is more of a national war against terrorism, other criminality are left to the respective states to handle with, silent federal government .
Sometimes I just wonder what sort of Christians we have in Nigeria, always trying to create enmity and division at the slightest opportunity.
Who told you that they did not condemn Shiite killings, why did Shiite send Christmas goodwill message to Christians, , is it not for them to say thank you to Christians for their , You are a biased person if you can't see any need for FG to intervene in this kind of genocide in Nigeria, but Buhari deploy military to rescue cows and talk about cattle rustling. Who is deceiving who.
Kiss the truth.
