Okay about the renewal of port..I made enquiry today about it and was told it had to be 6months before expiration for me to be able to apply for renewal cause I still have more than 9months to expiry date....except I pay extra money for marginalization like they say then I can renew now . Which means i can travel with it and then go renewal when I travel ..please I need someone to throw more light on this issue for me please. Thank you.

I doubt if they would renew ur 8months to expiration pp, but if they do, u have to let ircc knw bout ur updated pp via webform so by the time ur application gets approved you can able to submit the new port for stamping instead of d old one

From personal experience, one can actually renew a port that still has a validity period of more than 6 month.

Banks have now revised their requirements.
