If buyers and sellers are within the same proximity it makes it even easier to go pick up and pay. The interplay of Pay before buy is just an option as per the of the seller, which he has very valid reasons from Experience.

The goal is to reduce risk as much as possible, in transactions the buyer bears all the risk in a pay before dispatch situation.

If the buyer pays...then the seller ghosts him/her

Meant plaster board , the one that comes in 1.2 x 3m , thought they could be used interchangeably

Meanwhile same screeding treatment is given to both the cement board and plaster boards in all my projects, since all walls are screeded anyway before painting . Attached is another pix from a project last year .you can see the cement board was screeded , added another use I put cement boards to

Can you share a cost estimate as of today per sqm for POP Plaster boards and cement boards?

Wont agree to the last paragraph , cement board more expensive . Been using both for all my projects for years . Installation is basically the same for both , Pop boards comes in 1.2m x 3 m , cement boards come in 1.2 x 2.4 meter yet more expensive , likely 30 to 50 % more , don’t do wood , use hanger ,profiles , angles , screws , etc

Use cement boards for wall partitioning since they are stronger and sturdier while pop boards for ceiling .pix from an ongoing project

In of cost from least to greatest in my opinion.

1. Does it have the same nogging as POP?
No. A 6mm fibre cement board (N13,300) will be about 1.24mm x 2.44mm in size. So the size of the board will determine your nogging. So you have to decide from the beginning what ceiling solution that you want when roofing. The carpenter that will do your roofing wood work SHOULD also do your nogging. You will save a lot by so doing than having the carpenter to only do your roofing wood work. When you now want to do ceiling, you will spend extra more doing the nogging first.

2. Fibre cement come in different sizes.

3. Apart from Nigerite, there are other fibre cement boards imported into Nigeria. There is also Eminite as well.

4. Price?

I'm currently not on ground in Nigeria, so I don't know the current price but see above

One of our project in Akoka, getting there this morning the whole cables stolen. We have POP guys working in the building after we left the site. They denied that they did not tamper with the cables.

The security on site should also be interrogated... that amount of wire can't go missing without anyone noticing.

Nigerian tilers hardly invest in high-end tools to even do perfect installation of tiles, not to talk of tools to just remove tiles. I don't think they're paid enough to buy such tools. I'd suggest you get the tool yourself if that is a priority for you. I recently had to procure a laser level for use in some finishing jobs on my current project. I also intend to get a tile/granite cutter and a hole saw when it's time for tiling.
