I think u know redmi 8 64gig is more expensive than a7 pro. Umidigi is good. Cause av used a5 pro. But comparing this 2 phone won't do it for u. Just look for something u like about a phone n go for it.
If its strong build n battery .. Redmi
If its screen n camera ... A7 pro

Go with this advice, the A7 pro is a very good device for it's price, the redmi 8 is also a good device, has a better battery with for fast charge, sturdier build and a slightly better processor while the A7 pro has better display, camera and more attractive build.

It's now left to you to decide what you want in a phone

One person gave a wrong information and you've ignored all the other good advices by others and used that one inference to come to a wrong conclusion

Once watched a speed comparison review on a7 vs redmi 9( 3gb variant ) and the umidigi was faster than it in opening apps including pubg(even though both are not gaming phones) and even continued all apps opened from where it was left off while the redmi 9 was fast to some extent but opened few apps faster than the umidigi even with its better antutu score.
Don't know much bout the redmi 8 but if umidigi beat it successor in speed and maintaining opened apps without lags, then umidigi for me takes the cake
Plus umidigi comes with a more build plus better display and its cheaper so...... For me umidigi is a better option am even opting on getting it soon
