In the drop test the guy dropped the same phone from 2 feet to 6 feet consecutively and the screen didn't even crack but tiny edges of the screen chipped off slightly. So it can definitely take more beating than a phone without gorilla glass

But in that post sef the screen still cracked naa how would you believe that it can't break? Check Xiaomi thread someone has a broken screen because car drove over his phone
