I don't know whether anybody have experienced this but it has happened twice now.My MTN sim i have been using for almost 1 year just stop working like that; it will be showing "Insert Sim". I bought another MTN;after like six month last week it stopped working just like the first one. I have tried the sim on four different phones and it's still showing me insert sim i complained to MTN and they said the sim is damaged i should go for Welcome Back and this sim is still not even up to a year. I know it may sound weird but have anyone experienced this?

Probably your device If it's the pin type. Removing & inserting your sim card in such a device might cause abrasions on the sim.

Coz u are fond of removing and inserting the sim. The sim is rough-used. See how it looks just in 6 months.

unique I think the cause of the problem is that you used the nano sim and later fixed the mirco Sim adapter. mirco Sim adapter isn't properly fixed with the nano Sim (check if there is any one higher than the other; I the NANO SIM and mirco Sim adapter) or you try the Sim in a phone that nano sim

The kind of phone you are using for that sim eh, that sim has really suffered. Just imagine how that phone has turned the sim colour to tie and dye (kampala). You Or the phone must be heartless.

I would say you didn't use the SIM well. Anyway you can still retrieve the SIM by getting an affidavit from any High Court since you said the SIM pack is lost and proceed to any MTN office for welcome back

If this is the SIM that has lasted just six months, I won't say it is MTN or the phone, but YOU. You've swapped the living daylight out of that SIM evident by the drag marks on it. 1 Like 1 Share |

unique: You don't need any sim pack as long as the sim card is with you. Just go there with your damaged sim card and your id card and money, you will get a new sim. But looking at this your sim card, I would say you damaged it. The fault is not with MTN or the sim card itself. |

Yes I experienced such in 2017, on that fateful day my mtn Sim just stopped working. My sim pack was in another state, there was no way I could easily do a welcome back It was so painful, cos I lost some appointments. Don't rely any network providers, they are as wicked and stupid as the Nigerian government. They also get away with this due to the type of country we are in. This guy no dey talk true. You didn't test that sim on 4 phones alaye. Goan do sim retrieval and stop forcing that sim into different phones. |
