You cannot compare. However, the builders and s of gaming laptops or laptops generally discovered that indeed there was/is a need for it.

A laptop is a mobile device, you can take it everywhere you go. I cannot carry my desktop to run some simulations at a client's site.

Laptops are not really efficient as the desktops, most times their u or gpu end up frying after extensive usage, particularly when not properly cooled.

All have their respective demand/usage/relativity.
