pride4legacy: Bro, you can DIY if you are willing to learn and ready to innovate There is a plugin on WordPress called blogger to WordPress... I dont know if that's the right name, it helps you to move and copy all your files from blogger to WordPress, its better if your blogger is not that bulky. If you are still confuse, watch videos on YouTube on how to move my blogger files to WordPress. Its easy if only and only if you are willing to learn Take care |

SexyBabe001: Did you read his post at all? He never mentioned anything about moving. I know he'll eventually get to that part. But he is talking about domain mapping |

pride4legacy: Bro, you're obviously still a newbie, but with the help of namecheap's agents, you can actually get your new site up and running. Namecheap is very -friendly. Lemme explain how you can get this done by yourself. But if you think it's too complicated for you or couldn't do it yourself, just get someone here to do it for you. 1. to your whogohost and go to the domain in question. 2. I don't know how whogohost interface looks like. But under the domain, look for either "setup", "settings", "options" or something similar. 3. Follow the link in No 2 above and look for "DNS" or "Nameserver". Open it and you'll see its a text box to enter your own Nameserver. You might already see another(whogohost) Nameserver which I think is [dns1.whogohost.com] or might be "dns2" or even 3 or 4. 4. Just delete all the Nameservers from the list which belong to whogohost. Then you enter the Nameservers for Namecheap. Namecheap's Nameservers are only two. Make sure to enter the both of them. NameCheap's Nameservers are below: dns1.namecheaphosting.com dns2.namecheaphosting.com When you are done with these, just visit namecheap website, go for their live chat , tell them you want to add your domain to your hosting . And don't forget to tell them that you already change to their Nameservers. They will lead you or might even help you finish the rest of the steps. But after linking your domain name, there are still stuffs to do to bring your blog back to life, so I will just suggest that you just pay someone here to help you set up the whole thing. The whole thing would not take more than 30mins for someone who knows what they're doing. And beware of quacks and scammers. Good luck. |

SexyBabe001: I never misquoted you. Let's just go through the OP's question. He wanted to change from blogger to a self hosted blog. So he asked if the domain name he bought on whogohost which he previously used on the blogger platform will be automatically redirected to the new WordPress blog hosted on Namecheap? So I'll quote the later part of your answer as u said: If you are still confuse, watch videos on YouTube on how to move my blogger files to WordPress. I know he'll eventually get to move his posts during the whole migration process. But his question was about redirecting his domain to the new blog/website. I'm sorry if you feel offended. I never meant that really. Maybe you didn't just understand his questions. 1 Like |
