Work well in what way? Pls try and explain better.

Is it not charging or it doesn't last well.
I bought a new battery for it n when I charged it to 100% ,the system will pop up a message saying I should unplug the charger that the battery is not charging and if I unplug the charger the system will trip off.
If I restart the system it ll be stable however if the battery gets to 100% it ll show the same message of unplugging the charger. And if this happen like 5 times the battery will get bad n the system will stop recognizing it. And it has happened to 4 battries that I have bought from lagos.
So I hv stopped buying batteries.

How do I solve blue screen of death. irql_not_less_or_equal error?

System can't boot in safe mode or start up

Burn a another window on a usb flash drive. Boot from it and see whether there is still BSOD. If not, reinstall windows.

First check your hard disk drive for errors and your RAM integrity before anything else.

You can do this from your BIOS.

Please my laptop fell down from the couch at home while it was on when I picked it up it restarted on it's own, there was no cosmetic damage (no body damage) but it has started hanging since that day, please can anyone tell me what's going on

It might be the hdd.

1. Remove it and insert it back

2. Reinstall the operating system

If problem persist, replace the hdd.

Sir for your battery, it needs replacement.
The fan blowing hot is natural cause it's work Is to blow of heat from the heatsink.

My laptop trips up prematurely while in use if I disconnect the power. Before it hibernates at 10% but now it goes off without warning between 20% and 50%. Also the battery does not last half as much as before. I now get a maximum of one hour unlike before where it would stay on for 2-4hours.What's the way out?

You already know the fault.

As a way of troubleshooting the over heat problem. Try the following:

1. Use the laptop without the battery in it and observe.

2. Disassemble the laptop and clean it thoroughly most especially the heat vent and the fan. Sometimes, adding thermal paste on the PROCESSOR and re mounting the heat conductor is helpful and enhances your cooling efficiency.

Hello guys,
Please, my laptop just stopped working all of a sudden. It didn't fall, neither did water enter.
Whenever I try to put it on, the power light comes on, it keeps blinking and that is it. It does not go further than that
It's an HP 250

Do the 30sec discharge trick, if it doesn't work, see a laptop technician.

It could be that your cooling system is not working effectively this can be solved by cleaning your fan, heatsink and applying of thermal paste. I suggest you take it to a technician to help you out. But if you can DIY go ahead but be careful

Remove the battery and the power adapter , hold down the power button for 30secs then try powering it on with the power adapter only to see what could happen.
If it comes up, then your battery is faulty.
If it didn't, then proper troubleshooting is needed from a technician.
Thank you bro

Hmmmm.

Does it power on and remain constant without display or it powers on and shut down after some seconds or minutes?

The cooling fan might be a thermostat, it will spin again when the processor heat up to keep it cool.

Concerning the no display issue, fualt can come from different place.

Though the first thing to do is troubleshoot with another RAM or processor, if it doesn't display then it is most likely a board issue.

If you don't have any spare RAM/processor to troubleshoot with or you disassemble the laptop to enable you do the troubleshooting, I'll advise you see a laptop technician.

What do you mean by 'stopped working'? Has it stopped charging or the system has stopped detecting it?

You should carry out some diagnostic test on your hard disk and RAM(optional though) using chkdsk and the BIOS options

If your RAM size is 2gb or less, you should upgrade it.

You'd have to reinstall window. Since you don't want to format, you should do a 'dirty' install instead. Your files will be moved to a folder named window.old on your hard disk drive.

NOTE: You run a chance of having the same problem if the said problem is related to your hard disk drive (faulty or failing hard disk drive). So, do a proper check on your hdd before proceeding with installation.

This will really save you from the stress of 'merry-go-round' grin
