Am having same experience, did biometrics at TLS on 20th November to enable me attend a friends graduation for 10th December in the UK.
Up till date no response from TLS or the embassy, graduation has ed, I need my port so I can go back to work.

Any advice about this issue or is there any way I can them to return my port cos I need it at work.

Finally got the Visa, thanks to God.

Graduation ceremony I was to attend has ed, will still touch the UK during my next time off in January, hope no issues.

Asking for a friend who has a ed business but only a CAC ,company and personal to show for it ( no invoices,no waybills,no daily sales book). So i advised him to start making 400K payment from his company to his personal with a salary description . I also advised he makes cash withdrawal of 60k ( to count as his monthly expenditure) from the money to leave 340k untouched. He has been at it for the 4th month now. i hope i am not wasting his time?

Hi. Actually I can’t speak for certainty about this route but some business people on this thread have said they operated this way and some got the visas.

did you do a priority visa or just the normal standard visitor visa which takes about 15 working days?

Indeed PhD is the peak.
But boss, an MBA however can become really handy in fast tracking to management and leadership positions. Pursuing one after a phd shouldn't be considered a retrogression.

Hello house, I don't know if this is the right channel but I'll be glad if someone here can answer my question.
A family friend recently moved to the UK on a work visa. He is planning to bring his teenage son who just finished sec school here in Nigeria to the UK as a dependent.
The problem is he needs advice on the boy's education. The right path for the boy to continue his studies in the UK. He wants him to attend a college there but needs advice on the requirements. Thank you

Just be honest in your application and if possible, buying your return tickets helps too.

I thought people attended to this question weeks ago?

times have significantly changed... also on www.gov.uk we are told not to purchase any tickets as it will not influence visa decision

I did normally oooooo, got the port almost exactly one month later.

Submission was 20th November, in fact I've removed my mind, was just praying to get back my port so I don't have issues at work.

How old is the boy? If he is near 16- 18....please tell your friend to quickly apply for that dependent visa before he is past the age.

As for the education aspect. This is simple. When He arrive in the country he can apply to the nearest college in the city where they live in.

He can also apply for a higher education access diploma.

UK schools are very accommodating and easy to get into unlike naija schools that make things so difficult and there are many routes and they help students to get into school as well.

You dont need NARIC. Most UK schools know about our WAEC.

What he needs to do here is to apply for A levels. If you have money, you can apply to university but your child will start from foundation which is one year before university.

It is a good idea because i got my first UK visa with a virgin port last year october, i travelled once with it for a conference and applied for 2 year visa this year which i got.

Trust me. UK schools are not hard to get into and should not be a worry.

The focus should br on getting him the dependent visa. He has less than 3yrs.

A brother of mine missed out on this coz they applied too late and he was refuses twice.
