I don't think any team has won more medals than us (bronze in 92, gold in 94, silver in 00, bronze in 02, 04 and 06, gold in 13). Actually, it's a tactic. SA are far more comfortable when sitting back and counterattacking, as their counters are lethally effective. Giving them the ball forces them onto the front foot, making them unsure and uncomfortable, and also allowing for Nigerian counters.
