You can lock it patapata remotely by g in ur mi and lock it(I don't know if one can track with it tho) with another phone or laptop
..
..android should have a way to track the phone without police if ,find my device,location and data is on...well i dont know sha...

As for MTN check if they have 4G in your location

Follow gogeekish's advice.

If you have the phone's carton, don't lock the phone from web, deactivate find my device instead and back up ur data from there.

Call ur bank(s) to disable transactions from that your number.

Then proceed with police imei tracking. They'll retrieve it for you.

Do accept my sympathy on the incidence.

With mi cloud & find my device active she has control over the device remotely. Provided her device & mobile data is on the police can still track device.

If you have not already done so, call your network provider (MTN or glo or Airtel or Etisalat, etc) to block your phone number immediately. You can retrieve the line on Monday.

This is important to protect your bank in case your phone number is tied to your bank .

As for mi , you can into it from a browser and lock the phone.
