He is a linear striker. You need to set him up, lay it on a plate for him to score. His first touch is awful, close control poor and he doesn't have the skill to dribble past a mannequin. Jose mistakenly thought he was buying a Drogba. Got a tree trunk instead.

Even someone like the late Yekini made up for his poor on the ball skills with a blistering pace and a cannon shot. The only thing Lukaku can do comfortably is to shield, hold up the ball and a decent heading ability. Everything else is MLS standard.
