I'm very much interested . how do we sync for the training

flyboi1:

thanks Bsbabe for this.

this has really pushed me to pick up where i left the dream. when the dream was still fresh, i had ed for CBAP, but didnt follow up because i didnt find any suitable training centre. most seen where either too expensive or far away. i tried youtube but that didnt last long. Data would not allow me to be great.

I have already bought the course on Udemy as i was reading your post. so i can start afresh.

Anyone interested in BA? we can come together to make the learning process fun.

Still in Naija, waiting for PPR.

I'm a self employed applicant and I want to know how many reference letters from clients will suffice as part of proof for my work experience (business)

Thank you in advance for your response

Hi everyone,
I just got my COPR and intend to land in Ontario very soon, Please I wanted to ask, which province (Ontario or Alberta) would have the best job prospects for environmental engineering?

Most of my work experience has been in construction, drilling waste and environmental firms though my degrees are in Agricultural and environmental engineering, I'm thinking of doing a 1 year college diploma or 1 year college graduate certificate program to have a Canadian education, network or have work experience by co-op placements. I've seen some colleges like Durham College, Conestoga College and Niagara college with programs in environmental technology/engineering, are there some colleges that carry 'more weight' than others in the job market? what would you advice please?

Thanks immensely as I await your
I do not know much about the job prospects for Environmental Engineers or Techs; however, I know that Canada is big on making sure that all engineering projects/constructions have very minimal impact to the environment. You might want to check indeed to have a feel of the job market. If you are interested in attending a college, google Polytechnics Canada. Employers would often prefer grads from schools on that list. For uni, preferably the top two in any province would be okay.

Depends. Most schools would fall back on your last two years of schooling. Note that post graduates issions are very competitive in Canada.

In addition, the same ission procedure would still be applied. It doesn't matter if you are applying from inside or outside Canada. As mentioned above, the school for the best response.

I'm also in your shoes. I decided to opt for ACCA option instead due to the following:

1. While Ontario accepts CIMA in the MRA for internationally trained ants into A, Alberta does not.
2. I'm unsure about what A means by "completion of the *full* CIMA programme to be eligible.
3. ACCA's cut-off is 50% compared to CIMA that is 60%.
4. The ACCA option is cost effective as it is about 50% cheaper than the CIMA option.
5. The requirements to obtain the A designation with ACCA is less complex and more straightforward.
6. ACCA is more recognised worldwide than CIMA.

The only Con is that one gets to write 4 papers to obtain the ACCA qualification unlike CIMA that requires candidates to write only 1 paper. But trust me.. that one paper would be loaded!

If you have any objection to the above, please let me know.

Cheers..

@TEECAN,

I'm also ICAN member and i've been searching how to avoid writing exams. I was happy when I saw your post, however on checking A Ontario's website, it states that ission criteria for CIMA include "Have qualified as a professional ant by completing the entire CIMA program of studies". CIMA website also says that ICAN with over 5 years of relevant work experience (relevant to CIMA's Practical Experience Requirement) enters directly into the Strategic level case study. A mandatory workshop must be attended before taking the case study exam. which means only the case study exam will be done but its still not the entire CIMA program of study as required by A. So please clarify how you plan to convert ICAN to CIMA to A.

Thanks.

Hi all,
Please i intend to apply for a visit visa for my mum. She intends to come at the end of december and i will be landing as PR at the end of November. Would you advise that she applies now or after i land.
My concerns are processing time and to avoid misrepresentation.
If she chooses the option of visiting family or friends i can't provide her an IV letter yet, so it will have to be tourism.
But she has to fill a family information form and will definitely include my name.
Please advice. Thanks

Hi all... I've been a silent follower of this thread, praying for the day I'll get PPR and become a full member. It finally came on the 16th though dated 15th. Submitted port this morning.

So this is how it feels... Hmm, I still peep at the PPR mail to be sure it's still there.

Is there any on living in prince George British Columbia? I'll like to make some enquiries concerning childcare and daycare.

Good day all,
How is preparation for the winter?
Please I will like to ask a question; how many months is a woman permitted to work before proceeding on maternity leave? for example in Nigeria, some organisations require you work for at least 1year before going on MAT leave. Please your input will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Its been a while I did ICAN o, i hope my brain still dey there, lols.

Thanks for sharing, i have been thinking long and hard about this and almost concluded to start A afresh in Canada.

Assuming I started writing ACCA but don't conclude before moving to Canada, what happens? Do you suppose I could write in Canada too?

Kindly share how you intend to study for the exams, tutoring centered, online?

I need to decide soon. Thanks

Thanks. I was able to call them from Nigeria with Fongo (Canadian number) - you also need strong internet service to receive and make calls on Fongo. My wait time was about 30 minutes. The agent said she couldn't see our resubmitted photos in the file, that it may be because they only received in on Oct 1st. That i should call back in about one or two weeks time, that it may have been updated at that time.

rainazoe:
Pele o @JKJ6. Call +1 888 242 2100. I used a skype calling app because I am outside CA so you need good network quality too.
I started calling from 12.45pm naija time so that wait time to connect to an agent was reduced. Have your UCI no. close by
