The error message points to a corrupt file. Why don't you get the guys you buy it from to install it for you in the market? If it is corrupt they know how to look for a good one

I'll Advice you Google the error and see if you'll get a solution, sometimes it might be from the way you're installing it, properly missing some steps.

It started few days ago. It takes three mins or two before it boot. Hp laptop. Razak5

Free up some space by removing some unnecessary files you can check your recycle bin and delete some stuff there permanently.

Click on start, type msconfig.

A box will come up, click on startup, you will see list of apps you installed like Adobe reader, etc

Untick the box at the front of the apps and click apply, then restart your laptop.

If problem persist, I'll advice you reload the operating system and probably increase your ram to 2gb.

yeah the battery icon is visible with the word plugged in not charging

All thanks to udemzyudex.... I was able to resolve my BIOS problem. His , Fatai, was very quick and solved the problem in less than an hour. In fact, the guy is a hot cake in that Ladipo

I have good engineers in minna, Abuja, onitsha, Enugu, PH etc.

And they are good.

OK, since it is dell laptop, look for someone with dell charger, original dell charger and test to see, if it's still giving u the same problem, try it with another battery.

You can go to where you want to buy battery, collect and test. If it doesn't work you return it and if it work then it's the battery then you can pay for it.

But if it doesn't work, still plug in not charging, then you need to see a laptop engineer.

My Dell Laptop started misbehaving 3 days ago, I use it everyday without issues, so on Friday evening I decided to make use to it only to see that all the keys are pressing multiple wrong letters, search Google and YouTube for solution nothing work.

After service yesterday, I put it on only to see its no more typing multiple wrong keys, I was so happy then I detected some keys are not working now. F1, F2, F8 F9, Y G H V B Shift Ctrl etc.

Please what could be wrong and what to do at this stage?

I have restored back, uninstall keyboard driver among others.

Please help.

2. Fault from motherboard.

90% of the time, replacing the keyboard will solve it.

Motherboard issue, I'll advice you take it to a laptop engineer for diagnosis.

I have deleted the BIOS file from the system
I even deleted HP website bookmark from my browser. If there is any way to label the site as spam and prevent me from going there again, let me know

I'm in lagos but not available for repair jobs now.

I can't really say how much it will cost cos price depends on models and how much the engineer will charge you.

Thanks so much for your advice, i already have the experience, my problem is just tackling motherboard issues, i can do others not related to it.... How much does the oscilloscope cost?
