Snoring is the wheezing, sighing noise made through the mouth while a person is sleeping. It drives everyone else to distraction, except the one making the noise. The tissue in the upper airway in the back of the throat relaxes during sleep; breathing in causes it to vibrate. The art of snoring has been most of the causes of misunderstanding and conflict between people since BC especially between loved ones. It generally occurs while sleeping on the back. The mouth falls open and the singing begins. To some its a curse and an affliction with no remedy, this is where we are wrong. There are some natural remedies to snoring.

- Do not sleep on a pillow, they tend to elevate the head and increase snoring.
- Sleep on your side, not on your back. Try sowing a tennis ball to the back of your pj, so when you roll onto it in your sleep you will quickly roll off, its a drastic method, but it helps reduce the snoring.
- Losing weight tends to lessen snoring. The more overweight a person is, the more likely he or she will snore. Get regular exercise.
- Drinking alcohol or taking sleeping pills tends to increase snoring, by excessively relaxing the tissues of the soft palate, which narrows the nasopharynx. Also smoking causes the soft palate (not to relax) to swell, also narrowing the nasopharynx.
- (couples) Tell your spouse To shake you awake when you snore. That will wake you enough that you will stop.
- Buy your spouse earplugs to wear at night, if symptoms still persist.

With the exception of allergies which might enlarge the tonsils and induce snoring, no medical help is required.

I can't believe this post. Its like the OP is talking to me directly. This is one of the most enlightened moments here on NL. Finally got a medium looking at ways to curb snoring, tried it out and it worked. Your 2 cents went a long way young man. Keep it up. Health is wealth.
