TheGreat342: a lot of foodstuffs are allowed however ......... groundnut oil is sold almost everywhere and its cheap so no need to carry across the ocean. Also there a possibility of pouring and staining everywhere. I would say Palm oil not hard to find depending on your location 1 Like |

Please I got an ission for an associate degree (industrial and mechanical engineering) in a community college at Texas, I already have a B.eng in mechanical engineering. I have paid the i-901 fee. What should I do next while applying for visa, an agent said I should bring 75,000 naira, so he can process it for me. I already paid the visa fee at gtbank. And I also want to know my chances of been granted a visa to study at the community college. Please I need help. ASAP. |
Mayorboi(m): 8:08am On Oct 22, 2017 |
hectoruche: Process what for you? Be wary of these agents. I am sure an agent processed your ission too else why would a B.eng(Mech) holder be going for an associate degree? How do you even explain this to the VO. If you can defend it just fine then your chances are as good as any. |

the first thing i did when i came here is read previous pages, i read over 100 pages to catch up, it might sound like too much but information is key, please read previous pages, you will learn a lot. part of why i sugested this is because it has been repeated here over and over to stay away from agents. you are computer literate, you dont need and agent, follow the steps, get your 1-20 and pay for servis then go to a cyber cafe if you dont have strong internet connection at home and fill your ds 160 and book interview. you can also be asking google as you go and you can be done easy peasy. please stay away from agents, all they are good at is collecting money and forging documents and messing your records up hectoruche: 6 Likes |

Hello, I need some clarifications from WES Experts in the house. Does WES evaluate carryover courses twice?. I mean when a course is failed in one level and re-taken in another level and ed. Will both levels be evaluated? Or only the year ed? Cc LagosismyHome |

Pushas: Bro most colleges waive TOEFL for students from Nigeria.. I'm very sure! A good SAT score of 1200 upward and a nice GPA of 3.0 and above should get him a full tuition at most if not full ride in most universities 1 Like |

Guys pls i need a headup... i have applied for fall 2018 for Graduate degree in Biotech in US (I already have a bsc in biochem in Nigeria),i have ed all docs except financial statement wch am working on. Then out of the blues, my aunt called in and told me to apply for an undergraduate prog in nursing/health science in a univ in florida for Spring session 2018, she just mailed me the form n details. (she would also process it herself in d states via a friend). My questions are.... (1) with my age (close to 30) on my port, would it be an issue to the VO that am applying for an undergraduate prog? (2) after applying for undergraduate prog for spring 2018, would it distort my application for graduate deg in fall 2018? Cos my details might be checked. Thanks in anticipation.

TheGreat342: The last time I checked palm oil, and maybe groundnut oil, is/are not allowed into the airplane due to increased chances of flaming up due to increased gravity while the aircraft is in the air. Do not bother about carrying those, you can buy them in many states here in the US. |
bigfrancis21: 9:10am On Oct 22, 2017 |
Frankaka8: Why don't you apply for Msc in Biotech for Spring 2018 instead of Fall 2018, at the same time you are applying to the nursing program at UniFlorida, obtain your visa with your Msc degree and transfer (SEVIS transfer) to UniFlorida upon arrival in the US? Your chances of getting your visa with a bsc degree when you have a prior one, especially when you are close to/are 30 years old are very very slim. 1 Like |

Obyknow: There is no set amount, it varies on the university/school you are applying to. Cheaper schools will have lower minimum requirements and expensive schools will have higher minimum requirements. I have seen low financial requirements of $25,000 and as high as $40,000. So, it depends on the school and you can find out the figure from the school's website (on their international student webpage/I20 requirement). |
bigfrancis21: 9:14am On Oct 22, 2017 |
lasthero: No, WES does not include failed courses in WES evaluation, only in the year they were ed. |

lasthero: I need help pls |
bigfrancis21: 9:17am On Oct 22, 2017 |
hectoruche: First, you have gotten ission, received your I20 probably, paid your visa fee and and sevis fee. At this point you do not need an agent for anything again, not even before. Second, a bsc holder going for associate bachelors degree at a community college is like a Bsc holder from UNIZIK Nigeria going for National Diploma at IMT. You really think you stand a good chance at the embassy? You be your own judge. 1 Like |
