Is it okay, if I book my ticket online. Friend said I should go to the airport directly. Kindly advise

You are concentrating on purpose of trip. That , however is secondary to ties. If you have ties according to the vo's assesment then any purpose u choose is ok. I can't speak about your ties, I'm not a vo. But I'll ask you to self evaluate. Read the thread, then mentally weigh yourself. If u believe you are qualified for a visa, then pick the purpose that is the truth and fill it. Are you going for a wedding? Say so. Are you going for a vacation? Say so. Don't fill wjat you think will give u a better chance.
The truth gives you the best chance
Then when you read, you will also see tht your belief about 3 month visa is ill concieved. Visas are usually 2 years

Okay, thank you lady G. I was actually waiting for your reply because from what I have read from the thread you actually happen to be the guru here. We would just apply for our annual vacation and not the wedding since I can't make that. I will keep on reading and keep you posted of how it goes when we eventually apply.

You can't get a direct flight to new jersey except you connect flight. i just checked for waka now and saw ethiad flight for 314, 000 booked for march going to. New york. sha.. Get to new york or any city close to new Jersey then take a train or connect another flight.

opodo.com orbitz.com are also good for flight search.

Use them to get the flight prices and go to the airline's official site itself and book.

Ethiopia and a few others are on the EWR (Newark, New Jersey) route and sometimes might come cheaper, but JFK remains remains about the best other option if you are New Jersey bound

Dare as much as you want to enter U.S I must say you did not do any homework at all... How can you do direct flight to New Jersey from Lagos.. we all know it's impossible.... the only direct flight from Lagos is to New York and Atlanta.

it's not that simple.. while they use official rate when paying in dollar you won't use official rate so you need to understand the science involve in booking flight.

You must have raw cash at least $300 cash with you and maybe the rest in your card.
