I was given mathematics and economics(BscMe) by uniben even tho' it wasn't any of my choices neither is it related to my choices.

I have been receiving numerous mails from candidates saying
they got a mail from Uniben AKOKA(POLY) informing them how
they have been offered provisional ission into the
programme, initially I told them to ignore such mails till I'm able to
confirm.
Right now I'm absolutely certain, as I have gathered information
from many reliable sources who claim the sms is legit and as a
matter of fact, uniben transferred 5000 aspirants to the poly,
not all might have gotten the text, but there is a very long list
of which I will share, please if you see your name on the list
below (pdf) it means you should forget about Uniben as you
have been transfered to akoka

no official explanation for it,,, but i'll want to believe Jamb did the transfer,,,for students eligible for ission into Uniben, but with limited space available///its what i think,,,but let's wait if Uniben would explain.

It's a new development. Besides, Uniben is not responsible for the transfer, jamb is. I don't know why some people are accusing Uniben.

Jamb wants to give them another opportunity at going to school this year rather than stay at home for another year. Jamb should be at the receiving end of the short-gun, not Uniben.

Same was done last year, but the massive outcry that followed saw jamb reverse it at the end.

eco stat was so competitive this year due to the myriad of candidates that applied for it this year and since postutme was eliminated by The MOE it was stated that all institutions must abide by the stipulated guidelines of The 3 criterias for ission which was merit, catchment and ELDS.
so uniben was left with no other choice than to adhere to FG's instructions.
Since you're from the south east, I'll ascertain that a greater number of ecostats candidates scored above 260 while the rest that scored below 260 and were eventually itted were candidates from uniben's catchment consideration and ELDS and they all filled the course's quota and that's why you weren't picked.

optometry is a very competitive course. 256 isn't a high score o. if you divide it over 4 to have an aggregate of 100 your score will arrive at 64 or less. just bear in mind that many candidates itted into your course scored way above that and be sides uniben ission list isn't by merit. long legs and nepotism have all been present that's why postutme must be brought back cos it's essential and paramount.

besides uniben college of education stuff is a B.ED programme and runs for four years and your degree will show up that you graduated at the university of Benin cos it's an programme.

Well if you've been following uniben for long then you will realize that this transoof a thing is not new. I was transferred from Uniben to TASUED in 2011, declined the ission and took another Jamb the following year and gained ission into uniben.
