Yes it does answer the question, cuz if I truly respect jesus I wud obey his teachings cuz obeying wud be PART of respecting or honoring him.

BUT I also obey my boss at work but that does not mean I honor him.

When we say jesus "is" God, the "is" is not a statement of identity, it simply means his is divine.
