Well, this story must have been well twisted! But according to the presented report, I will observe and make the following comments: 1) Eze-indigbo would have known well the culture of where he resides and moreso he would have had the feelers of what the Oba wanted to see him for and so why did he wore "illegal" apparel to go and see the Oba in such a situation and why did he behaved in an "arrogant" manner towards the Oba? 2) If good intention is meant by the palace, the guards should not have even allowed the Eze to enter the palace with what he wore, he should have been ordered to remove crown before seeing the Oba! 3) Why should the Ibo youths ORDERED the Oba to revert his order? Do the Ibo youths think they are in Onitcha or Aba? 7 Likes |

reuben79: We went back to our land in 1967, yourba and hausas faught to have us back. So u can't blame us for accepting ur one Nigeria u preach. We will go back when u are ready to have us go back to Biafra that is our home. You don't want to see us in ur land but u want one Nigeria. We will dominate in ur area whether one Nigeria or not. If Biafra should come today, we will still have our population located both in hausa and yoruba lands. 1 Like |

enviousness is the bane of our Yoruba brothers, why beat him after prostrating to the Oba as a mark of respect?

basbone:You don't seem to get it. I'm not in defence of any of them but if this piece is true, then the Eze-Igbo Akure erred BIG TIME! They tore my beads and removed my crown. They attempted to beat me but the Police officers at the Palace rescued me.”Notice the "remove my crown" part? Yoruba monarchs are highly cultural and detailed. It's quite saddening that the said Eze stood before the Deji of Akure with a crown on his head. He seems not to understand the culture and tradition with monarchs in Yorubaland, particularly that of Akure. 1 Like |

I feel so ashamed for the Deji of Akure and the Akure youths. There actions were highly uncivilized, infact a big slap on the faces of all Yoruba Traditional rulers. It clearly shows that there actions were borne out of envy and jealousy. You disrespect and maltreat a man just because you're majority?? Shame!! This can never happen in Igboland or any other reasonable place for that matter. Well, the seed of discord has already been sown and the harvest should be expected. Infact, this particular issue and some others that have happened in recent times have made me to start having second thoughts about this quest for Biafra. I say to the Igbos: forget about Biafra for now;rather,go ahead and invest in any place you can lay your hands on. Multiply and be fruitful in those places;Live wisely and in harmony with them;while still investing and developing your own Southeast states. It is one Nigeria for now until such a time they sincerely want to discus the unity or dissolution of this Nation, then it will be on your . No amount of hate or envy can stop you Igbos. |

When I was first reading this report, I was very skeptic about the fairness of the report as I was reading. I was thinking there are obviously 2 sides to the story and the journalist was very bias in favour of the Akure people with his constant mentioning of "Igbo" to whip up tribal animousity that is typical of Nigerian fuuktards. I was thinking when you hear the Igbo man's side, it would probably not be as bad as they are putting it. That was until I read the Igbo leader of the market say "They tore my beads and removed my crown" [in the palace]. That was when I realised this man and his market colleagues are all lunatics. You go to another man's territory and not only do you and some others appoint yourself as "Eze" (King) within his Kingdom, you had the AUDACITY to go to his palace wearing your own CROWN and think "And so what?". E no go better for him. He is lucky they did not lynch him. As far as I am concerned and to the best of my knowledge, you can only be a King in a region/place if: a) The reigning King dies and you inherit the throne by heirdom or by appointment of the official Kingmakers. b) You are appointed a sub-King by the reigning King/Monarch. c) You overthrow the reigning King (by sending him into exile, by killing him or by subjugating him to lesser status) and then stick a middle finger to the traditions of the Kingdom and Kingmakers. This fuuktard had the AUDACITY to go to a King's kingdom and call himself a King of a sub-section. There is nothing wrong with a foreigner being a leader of a group or whatever, but these fuuktards should never have labelled him "Eze Ndigbo" (King of the Igbos). You can call him other names apart from King. Let him be: - Head of the Igbos - Leader of the Igbos - Coordinator of the Igbos - Spear of the Igbos - Liaison Officer of the Igbos - etc But NEVER go to another man's land where Monarchy is practiced and then label yourself Eze Ndigbo (King of the Igbos). When Igbos come to ANY Kingdom, their ONLY King is the King of that Kingdom. This is why I always say on NL that stupidity is dangerous to society. This cretin and his fellow cretins stupidity can lead to serious bloodshed. 9 Likes 4 Shares |

Karanka: This is the most FO.OLISH comment I have read today. You go to another man's land and cause trouble, yet you say you were disrespected. To all you Igbos looking for trouble (not the sensible ones) in Lagos and other south western states. This is just the beginning. You have seen nothing. We Yorubas have been sensitized to the hatred and trust me, meetings are going on as we speak. It will not be easy for you guys in the Swest hence forth!!! Trouble makers! 4 Likes |

ola6:How did the Eze ndiIgbo cause trouble that he was ambushed and attacked in the palace of the Deji? It is very very uncivilized to invite a man to your place and when he honors that invitation because of the respect he has for you,you then ambush and attack him on the excuse that he disrespected you. If there was anything the Eze did wrong at the Deji's palace, the right would have been to address it in a very civilized manner - not handling it like touts. I was so ashamed of the Deji when I heard about this that my respect for him and for other Traditional rulers like him vanished. Let me tell you,in Igbo land it is considered a big Taboo for you to harm your visitor. And by the way, nobody has the monopoly of violence and mischief. If you take laws into your hands in addressing the "Igbo trouble makers" in southwest, know that others are capable of doing that to your people in other places,or even to you. |

patrick89:You are wrong dude! It all depends on who you are and individual differences. Contrary to your comment, yoruba people don't play tribal thingz. Am Igbo by tribe and I know we don't take shit in our land. It all depends on who you are, tribal mis-orientation, mentality and individual differences. In fact, the relationship between Igbos and Yorubas is more cordial than any other tribe. We get married to each other than any other tribe. I see no reason why tribalism should be an issue in this country........when we have a thousand and one problems to tackle. Onye Igbo!!! Let us forget about this tribal thingz and let us embrace each other. I have good Yoruba friends and we stand for each other. Even if we finally get the BIAFRA STATE,is that the solution to Unemployment, kidnapping, political instability, etc..........those problems remain thesame. Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas, etc, we are one and nothing can separate us. Individual should check his/herself if we are singing unity, love and peace song. UNITED WE STAND;DIVIDED WE FALL. I LOVE NIGERIA! I LOVE IGBOS! I LOVE YORUBAS! I LOVE HAUSAS! I LOVE NIGERIANS! 1 Like |
