Ishiwo Ikorodu Lagos Traditional Ruler, Royal Father’s Son Arrested For Robbery, Oladimeji Orisan & 3 Armed Robbers In Police Custody The son of a royal father in Ishawo area of Ikorodu Lagos has been arrested for leading a 4-man robbery gang operating in Ishawo, Ijede area of Ikorodu. According to the police, 24-year-old Oladimeji Orisan and 4 other robbery suspects had snatched over 30 motorycles and resold them for profit since March 2014. I have noticed that most traditional rulers children are free and without recourse to their parent's authority. I don't know why this is happening. The carefree attitude exhibited by them is totally unacceptable and unfortunate. They move in the circle of bad gangs and negative characters which in turn influences them negatively. The peer pressure most of them encounter makes them fall into crimes easily hoping that help would come from their parents. Apart from robbery other social ills like rape, smuggling, possession of hard substances among others are hardly addressed by law enforcements. How do we reform the youths especially these characters from the palace needs to be looked into? Any ideas... Story also found in Punch... |
