"The Chief Magistrate, Mr Kelvin Mbanongun, did not take their pleas for want of jurisdiction.
Mbanongun adjourned the matter until July 7, 2025, for further mention"

What does this Magistrate mean here? Before you know it, this case will be delayed, frustrated and thrown out.

Death penalty is the only suitable punishment. Life for a life.

With that leg the Magistrate started with?
He couldn't even take their pleas in the name of lack of jurisdiction!

Is he telling us that both the OC legal in the police that prepared the case and the state's AG that approved the case for prosecution didn't know that the magistrate court lacks the jurisdiction to run the case, yet they still went ahead to proceed to that court??

Our judiciary is a weak link in our fight against terrorism, they give light sentence...seems they forget they are Nigerians, targets for the terrorists too.

I wonder why people love senseless killings. Justice shall prevail.

-Kiss the truth!

Mark my words...

None of the killings happening is "senseless".... They have targets and goals. It's just that we don't know yet.

be like anytime you add "kiss the truth" you're trying to make your delusional "truth" more convincing to yourself and your brain dead followers and post likers. Your "kiss the truth" gimmick is not only comic...it is childish at most. Quit disrespecting yourself, man. You're older than this nonsense. When we see truth, we shall recognize it.

Nigerian journalists are useless. Here's a twist.

Akwaza the bandit leader who these Fulani guys work for is a tiv man. He may possibly be related to Terwase Akwaza(Gana), the militia leader who was offered 900m by Fulani leaders to embark on killing sprees in Benue and Taraba state. Gana rejected the offer and insisted it be 1 billion naira or nothing. The deal collapsed.

Interestingly enough, former governor Ortom managed to convince Gana to come out of hiding to be granted amnesty. Gana was killed by Nigerian army soldiers as he was on his way to Makurdi. He was in a government vehicle. Gana was threatening to expose the names of his sponsors.

Upon hearing of his death, his wives and his men returned back into the bush and swore not to be part of any deal with government with one of the wives herself leading attacks against communities in Benue. I think security forces either arrested or killed her during an engagement.

To have another Akwaza leading bandits in the same Katsina Ala local government is troubling. If he is related to Gana then it gives serious cause for concern. It may be that the offer the Fulani gave his late brother which he rejected, may have been accepted. This could be the reason why a tiv man is providing arms to Fulani for killings in Benue state.

Unlikely he is related to Terwase. He appears to be another Mercenary who self-styled himself the successor of Terwase Akwasa. His name is Amaka "Overall" Konyo.

Also, you are intellectualising what is simple with the bolded. You are not ing for the existence of a gray area controlled by greed that makes even Benue indigene work for the Fulani ethnic militia for monetary gains tied to terrorism, extortion, control of mining of precious metals and minerala, kidnapping, farmers blackmail , violence and gun-running market in North central currently.

Most of these guys are restive, very poor, illiterates and unemployable young men, with literally no future, that death and gun-might is now transforming into millionaires.

That is enough to create all kind of sinister alliance, such as Tiv mercenaries aiding Fulanis to kill their fellow Tivs, that defies logical theories such as the bolded in your post.

Most States of the North central are on a long thing because they have people whose behaviour is difficult understand let alone explain.

They should be hanged by their balls if found guilty as charged.
As colourful as this suggestion is, sadly it will not be taken as we are not in the medieval era. They'll more likely be hanged by their necks than by their balls.

why remanded in prison? Why not hang them? But you immediately hanged a boy that defended himself during bandit attack and killed the bandit. And now you have seen the real bandit yet you only remanded to prison. One day the bandit will also kill all your family by then you guys will know what to do. Keep playing politics

So there are no Tiv killers to hire?
