Elon Musk wants the U.S government to fund his SpaceX program, Tesla is small compared to that. Trump wasn't showing signs of giving him more funding and started limiting his powers in D.O.G.E (Department of Government Efficiency). The rift is not staged or fake, Musk was sidelined and has been frustrated about not having more power in the US government as he thought he would have.

Also, the way Trump made congress sign the bill was funny, it was signed in the middle of the night by Congress thereby making it seem as if Trump betrayed Elon

Trump didn’t make Congress sign (, the president signs after both the house and senate the bill) the bill at midnight, he set a target for the House and it was up to the speaker of the house to get it done. There was concern they will miss the deadline and the speaker ramped up efforts and pushed the house to get it done after Trump visited the house to speak to a few people who were holding up the bill.

There really is no difference to the average person if the bill was ed at 12 noon or 12 midnight, neither time will change what is in the bill and the average American will not read the hundreds and hundreds of pages contained in the bill if was ed at 12 noon instead of midnight.

The target date for the senate is by 4th of July.

Secondly the bill is not cutting subsidies for Space X or Tesla. The bill is removing the incentives from the Biden to give tax credits up to $7k if you buy an EV car so this will affect all EV manufacturers not just Tesla. It’s is not a subsidy but yeah it benefits Tesla and other EV makers because of the $7k incentive.
