I guess one of the requirements to reaching the top of any Nigerian organization is stupidity?

Does this make sense to anyone?

This is the same idiot who came out crying that Canada denied him a visiting visa

I guess the contract to fence Nigerian borders should be awarded to him or some company he is d with?

Animal talk

I would have preferred this to the construction of the coastal road. Deal with insecurity and see how fast the country will develop generally. The amount insecurity is gulping in Nigeria both from individuals and government is much
the two can be done concurrently
Mikeraj: 9:44am On Jun 05
It's a welcome development,if at all, borders are meant to be fenced either by blocks, wires etc. Imagine mounting cctvs every corners of the fence.
yeshuasfootstep(m): 9:45am On Jun 05
Will the fencing promote humans above cow in Nigeria?

You still have to put a fence between the core-North and the rest of Nigeria to checkmate the same terrorism.

Who will fund it? Ordinary existing road, they can't fix

Many roads are being fixed.

What are you talking about?

Travel round the country more instead of sitting disgruntled and despondent, thinking nothing is moving.

Nigeria's Defence Chief, General Christopher Musa, has ignited a major debate by proposing a complete fence along Nigeria's borders with Cameroon, Niger, Chad, and Benin to combat escalating insecurity and the influx of armed groups like Boko Haram and ISWAP. Citing examples like Pakistan's fence with Afghanistan, he argues this is critical for Nigeria's survival and sovereignty. In this video, we break down this unprecedented proposal, analyzing the reasons behind it, the immense potential costs, logistical challenges, socio-economic impacts, and whether this controversial measure can truly solve Nigeria's deep-rooted security crisis. Is fencing the nation a viable strategy or a sign of desperation?
this is not a sign of despiration; no not at all. It's what will be a money well spent. security at our 4 entry points is porous and instead of the nonsense wardrobe and vehicle allowances of our senators the revenue should be directed to the fence abeg

Comrades, considering this topic, I will like to remind y’all that there was a fencing contract awarded for the Kaduna-Abuja railway to prevent people and cattle from crossing the lines. Just guess how wonderfully that went? Toh now imagine fencing border Border o! Hmmm may we be guided!

Wrong.

The weapons and terrorists come from the Sahel.

Cut them off by building a mighty electrified wall that they will be too scared to approach, and you end terrorism and banditry in Nigeria once and for all.

LOL "iron condemn guys" Nairaland ooo🤣🤣🤣

That's true sha, the steel part would attract vandals. But concrete would be difficult for them to tamper with.

If it solves the problem and Nigeria can afford it why not?
It may very well be our best option. We need peace.

We can't afford it .

Do you think a wall cannot be breached or destroyed.

It's a very unintelligent proposition that makes you question the competence and capacity of our top btassy😮

They no dey brk fence?
We need most faithful defend, not brick fence

but i thought tinubu has equipped the military to deal with threats like boko haram?

what happened to those equipment?

AS IF WE LEARNT NOTHING FROM HOW HAMAS BLEW UP ISRAEL'S BORDER FENCE.
IkePeters(m): 9:57am On Jun 05
Like the US/Mexico border? How many of them can we afford to fence?

The borders being used by these elements are the illegal ones largely unknown to the authorities.

Rather than build walls we need to recruit more personnel, improve surveillance with technology and do more community engagement.
Krismas(m): 9:57am On Jun 05
cool Most sensible countries are fencing their borders. Nigeria needs to follow suit.

Fantastic idea.

Why not?

The Benin Empire built a massive wall 500 years ago to protect itself from Arab jihadists, and it worked.

So will this new wall.

i thought tinubu has equipped the military to deal with threats like boko haram?

what happened to those equipment?

will the nigerian fence be bomb proof?

if nigerian military cannot fight boko haram, is it bricklayers that will now build fence were nigerian military is afraid to fight?
Godsonkemz(m): 10:02am On Jun 05
This is like rolling a mosquito infested net against the mosquitos outside.

First of you need to purge and purify the net from mosquito before it can be used for protection.
