The same people who celebrated the "before" are also celebrating the "after" Very confused and headless lots If the gold standard you measure your great leader by is Buhari then it shows how low the bar is for you 9 Likes |

SadiqBabaSani:Though it won't magically stop the suffering of Nigerians, however it will kind of send good signals to Investors, assuring them that their profits wouldn't be withheld from getting to their respective country, thereby increasing the ease of doing here 21 Likes 1 Share |

Depriest2020: More like the government ran out of money by august 2022. Everything happening is to mitigate that. That apc did not diversify and still isn't diversifying the economy, and still practices investment discouraging things like power subsides is the main koko 23 Likes |

I suspect that at this rate of milestone achievement by Tinubu he may end up being far the best president Nigeria will ever have with regard to sound micro and macro economic policies if he is able to complete two , hate him or love him he is doing great things economically

KennethOkonkwo: You guys, for once drop this apc, pdp, obi, tinubu and atiku, and GEJ and buhari, and all that political stuff. Me, I don't have a side in this politics, and think our politicans are evil...all of them But the honest fact is, for decades, we have been subsidising power in this country. FOR DECADES. Also, since the late 1970's, governments have been connecting people to the grid, and they don't bother about whether they can pay for power on a monthly basis or not. Result...a power sector that has been chronically and is still chronically short on cash, and that has not been able to pay for upgrades for centuries. So, why are tinubu and company scared to rectify that and remove subsides? Because they don't want to be voted out? It is the same nonsense GEJ did when he privatised power, but left subsides and price controls in place....leading to the point where three power discos had to be taken over by banks and one other by the government itself. At the end , it may be harsh, but it would eventually allow investment needed to get us to at least 34000 mw, which is what we need right now to give everyone on the grid 24 hour a day POWER. Let's dump this oppressor thing. I am not here to argue or to do propaganda for any entity. If business, including the power business, must flourish here, we got to free it to make enough profits to pay for improvements itself. And improvements cost money. Because no joker is going to do anything for free. 1 Like |

It would guarantee investors that their funds would be repatriated. That would enable them invest more and employ our people. Not everything must be criticized because of lack of understanding.

This news was posted yesterday..it looks like we will continue reading this till the end of the year. This was meant to happen once naira was floated because no more hoarding of dollars and the demand for it was reduced due to the high exchange rate. lt was achieved at the expense of the shrinked economy. I am sure many of these airlines witnessed reduced patronage due to the naira floating. It is however a good thing that IATA does not rank Nigeria as defaulting nation but has this improved the life of the common man? I know I will be termed a hater for this but someone should explain how this has improved living conditions for Nigerians because that's what really matters. 1 Like |

KennethOkonkwo:Ok..... what about how Buhari became your gold standard? Nigeria was not blocking airline funds before Buhari But you hated Jonathan still Today, you love Tinubu for paying funds blocked by Buhari whom you also love Can you explain how you're normal |

Satazaa: This isn't a milestone, old man. A milestone is sensible polices like removing all price controls and raising tax to gdp What has happened here is that we ran out of money to subsidize dollars, so the next sensible step was to remove subsides on dollars...and that meant that forex could flow again. |
