adrusa: GRID tie does not necessarily have to to the grid. I've seen a couple of grid tie work very well in Nigeria in a niche area that only requires power during the day (banks, schools, etc). Pabodo: Like he mentioned, running it in Nigeria for home wouldn't be great as it requires a constant grid supply (NEPA/ generator) to work. Nigeria don't have that supply in much quantities. So you are better off buying SMA, but instead of the grid tie type, buy the hybrid type that requires battery as it's best for use in Nigeria. I know you must've seen a lot of grid tie outside Nigeria, people often get it to reduce their utility bill. Not something you'd bring into a country with epileptic power supply. A lil note, if buying from North America, just ensure output voltage is 230v 50Hz and not 120V 60Hz. Cheers. 1 Like |

Most grid tied inverters does not battery input. Then for a wonderful country like Nigeria it will be a waste of investment getting a grid tied inverter as the inverter needs a grid input to function and we all know how superb our national grid is. Get a Hybrid (my recommendation) or stand alone inverter for your intended project. Pabodo: 2 Likes |

LIGHTNING STRIKES... BUT MY INVERTER STOOD ITS GROUND! 🔥⚡ Do you that video I posted about how lightning can shut down even the best inverters? Well, let me take you behind the scenes of what just happened — and trust me, this was not your average rainstorm. It started with a LinkedIn post I read some time ago — multiple inverters within a 5 km radius had failed after a ferocious lightning storm. These were properly installed systems, with earthing and SPDs in place — yet they still failed. That got me thinking. That got me experimenting. That got me ready. Then yesterday happened. The heavens opened. The sky lit up like a thousand fireworks. This wasn’t just lightning — this was lightning on steroids. Strike after strike. Some so violent they triggered car alarms in the neighborhood. The whole area was under siege from Mother Nature herself. And there I was… watching… waiting… monitoring my system. GUESS WHAT? Not a blink. Not a flicker. The lights held steady. My inverter stood its ground like a warrior. My solution worked. The theory became fact — and it survived a full-scale attack. Whew. That was intense. 👉 Watch the full video to see how I solved a problem that takes down systems worth millions. If you care about your investment, you NEED to see this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gTOINR6y-8 1 Like |

please guy, what's your experience with Thermocool Inverter Freezers, Does it freeze and ice liquid like conventional freezers when used with solar. My current freezer, barely freezer things probably because it's older. Please, I need your guidance. 1 Like 1 Share |

I've been using thermocool freezer for over 3years and it doesn't consume more 109w for the 200l I got. It can retain ice for a long periods of time because I don't put it on 247 unlike my hisense. Just make sure U buy from their authorised showroom, every famous brand get copy now o. SourYoghurt: |

Mykcool: Right. I have updated the initial post. Update: Following AndroBlaze suggestion, I combined sources, my inverter charger (30a), external 24v lithium battery charger (20a), and PV (under 10a, it's a rainy day), and I was able to fully charge the battery. It took almost 6 hours of consistent charging at roughly 60a. Now sitting pretty at 29.2v and floating back and forth. Now it's time to test its full capacity. Thanks to all that contributed. 5 Likes |

Rumplesteelskin: Also, I spoke with one of Haisic engineers through the seller and he said they now have an upgraded version with Batt V and percentage display. Interested parties should probably be patient till that one is readily available. 4 Likes |

Rumplesteelskin: I think its already in the market. I saw one white type for same capacity by Haisic posted on social media space. Not sure if its same price with the black though. 1 Like |

omotoda: Nice. This will definitely not be as cheap as the black one. I can see max current for charging has been increased from 75 - 100a. |
omotoda(m): 3:53pm On Jun 04 |
Rumplesteelskin: Of course, and based on the settings perhaps its made with better quality cells. On jiji, I see 950k while another platform shows 850k.I believe it should be around N800-850K though. |
AndroBlaze: 4:35pm On Jun 04 |
Rumplesteelskin: Good to know you've finally got it fully charged. BTW if that external charger is a smart charger, you can leave it connected permanently and the effects should be no different to purchasing an inverter with higher charging capacity. This is something I did severally for years while using LA, in fact I had 2 external chargers plus an inverter connected at some point due the unreliability of NEPA and not having solar then. ( Oh this is not a recommendation LA people because the battery bank eventually dies as LA is incapable of fast charging regularly, which is why we keep advising una but stubbornness wan wound you, lol) We await the results of your capacity test and thanks for the update on the new design for Haisic, really really helpful. @ bkuranga, na u remain, how far? 1 Like |

omotoda: Damn! And I was patient o. Now seeing this after a week of purchase.. Lol AndroBlaze: Yeah, it is smart. I'm using the same AC input for both, so, 50a on a steady with grid/gen. 1 Like |
