Russia has more than 100 bombers and 2000 aircrafts.
Russia is on a war footing and its MIC is firing on all cylinders.

This is an operational failure.
Significant losses. But all can be replaced in a timely fashion.
It changes nothing.
Russia has lost ships, generals, and prized military assets.
Russia can take whatever Ukraine dishes out on the chin and keep it moving.

Putin should keep his eye on the ball.
He should maintain the maximalist demands, increase the salvo of attacks, and seize more territory.
It's a winning formula and Ukraine can keep celebrating the occasional sabotage attacks as it gets smaller in both topography and demography.

I beg to differ a bit.

While I ire his bravery, I'm of the opinion that he should've had a realistic estimate of the capricious bully he's dealing with. We're talking of a bully that even USA would think thrice before engaging in direct fight. He should have opened negotiations talks with Putin at the start of the war, not much later after many Ukrainians had died. He shouldn't have listened to Boris who goaded him to fight on against the big bad wolf.

In some type of warfare, bravery alone is not enough. Wisdom is also required. Else one would lose and lose for nothing.

That's just my opinion, though. I'm sure Zelensky saw what I couldn't see, so I can't really judge him.

So, from the investigative report I shared earlier today. Zelensky was actually open to conceding some parts of Eastern Ukraine to Russia at the onset of his tenure but faced strong resistance from of the Azov battalion who had large numbers that were far right. The Azov battalion is one of the strongest arms of their military and I guess Zelensky was right to heed their demands.
