The commissioning of just 30km out of a 750km coastal highway to mark President Tinubu’s two years in office is baffling, and quite frankly, insulting to any citizen paying attention.

Let’s do the math:

Total Project Length: 750km

Completed: 30km

Remaining: 720km

That’s just 4% of the entire project completed in two years.

At this rate — 30km every two years — it would take 50 years to complete the full road. Fifty. Years.
Is that how low the bar has dropped?

This isn't just laughable, it's a stark reflection of how unserious leadership can be when it comes to infrastructure delivery. In any country where citizens demand ability, such a move would spark calls for resignations, not celebrations.

Nigerians deserve real progress, not ceremonial ribbon-cutting of unfinished promises. This level of performance isn't just underwhelming, it’s a blatant disregard for the expectations of the people.

Once the funding constraints are taken care of, the project will be completed before he leaves office in 2031.

Then why rushing to commission 30km?

If you have critical thinking skills, you will know that projects of this magnitude requires huge funding.

With funding in place, what should take 30 years can be done in a year.

Answer me first, have you written Jamb?

Then if 2 years can fund 30km, how many years can fund 720km?
Use it as a revision, you might see such question in Jamb

The company handling the project are not really effectively in delivering projects at schedule time lekki Epe-Express way is a good example.

And this kind projects should distribute to different company shouldn't be singlehadedly by one company.

The man is only making his personal real estate, Eko Atlantic City more viable using our commonwealth. So dark the con of man!

Just look at the level of sycophancy and low self-esteem! The initiator and actualizer indeed. The emperor is walking stark naked with no clothes on but he has nobody to tell him.

It's a White Elephant Job meant to reward the Chagourys for sponsoring Tinubu's Presidential ambitions.
Who spends 15Trn on a road to nowhere when you don't have a Functional Steel Industry (The Bedrock of Industrialization)?

It's a potential 'Abandoned Project' that no subsequent Government will ever want to complete.

Tinubu don scam everybodygrin

Bro you are arguing with hardcore haters. You cannot win with those type.

To begin with, and including the OP as a core culprit, these haters stole almost an entire year on the construction timeline of the Lagos Calabar coastal highway simply to malign the Tinubu Presidency.

They are claiming 30km delivered in two years before the world. Yet see below to note construction began officially in March 2024. They stole an entire 10 months on construction timeline.

You need nothing else than that to note you are dealing with those ready to use lies and deception to dupe others that their pre-concieved condemnation of everything Tinubu does is valid.

Okay so if they use 1y to complete 30km that's still 25y to complete it why waste fund in such projects when other important sector needs it

As Tjra explained to you lot, with many feigning ignorance of his point, funding the project, for many reasons that I do not have the interest nor time to explain, will become significantly easier.

Meaning the entire road could possibly be finished by Tinubu's second term in 2031 that I am assuming he will complete.

The project is not yet up to 2 years. Sand filling in section 2 of the project is more than 60% done, the Lagos section will be completed this year. Work on the project is going at a fast pace. It's a very massive project.

Work is ongoing in Cross River and Akwa Ibom too and work will be completed there by the end of next year.

Just imagine it was a Jonathan or OBJ that commissioned an uncompleted project

you keep mentioning funds, was the issue of funding not considered before awarding a contract of such magnitude? Opposition hammered on the funding aspect and how the government can't afford such expensive venture but the same government and you lots regaled us on how tinubu is a financial wizard and will pluck funds from the thin air

So why use it as excuse again
