Greetings Chiefs, I am currently at the paraphet stage of my property and the engineer has quoted 12mm 28pcs, 10mm 20pcs and 8mm 12pcs. Does this seem right for a paraphet, it doesn't seem right to me. I don't understand why he needs 3 kinds of rod for paraphet, when he only used 2 for chaining. Can someone help me understand it better? @spyder880 and other elders in the field, kindly help. Thanks |

Engineers in the house is it OK to use quarter rod for the ring that will be used to cast the pillar and linted of a bungalow?
|

hypernikao: What I think he wants to do is to use 12mm as the parapet beam rods, use 10mm to do the stirrups, and then use 8mm to do the runners. Its adequate for a parapet. 1 Like |

Zzyzxt: If you can afford 8mm rods, it's better suited for such work. Some quarter rods are not even up to 5mm. |

twinskenny: What i need is only roofing sheet to be paid in instalment, other woodwork will be handled by me.I i do not think i can do down payment while i take the delivery after full payment. |

hypernikao:Why not use 12mm just like liting beam use full 8mm to precast and hang the parapet . It’s less weight faster, it will save you money, you need a good parapet guy that can precast and hang it well. 1 Like |

Greetings to the elders and guru in the house. I have read the much I can as a first time builder. We have managed to completely roof the building, now looking out to securing it, I mean, outside doors installation, windows installation and then plastering plus screeding. Please, it's a duplex in one of the south eastern states, located in the village to be precise. I understand metal doors would be ideal more than the regular turkey doors or wooden doors because they would rotten easily due to non-regular usage. Is this correct? Please can the gurus and active here recommend a (if turkey or local metal door) door professional Modern window professional and then, like I heard Togo plasterers or any good plasteres plus screeders here. These three are what's needed for now, to complete this stage. Gurus and active , i will highly appreciate your recommendations (tested and trusted contractors) of these trio Those willing to work in the south east region preferably Many thanks |

Hey, i want to know how often a rent and improve situation happens in Nigeria especially Abuja. I.E a shell and core concept. I provide the shell.... the exterior walls, frame, utilities e.t.c. Then another person interested finishes the inside, floor, ceiling, bathrooms, electrical fittings, and so on. Itll be based on agreement , a no rent agreement for some years then would start paying on the agreed price after those number of years. |

KingsDecorppro: Are these full size? Do you install nation-wide, and is the price negotiable? Thinking of using it to hide uneven defects in hallway walks. Do you think it can do the job simpler than using wall tiles? |

I am constructing a five bedroom bungalow. It's been roofed, plastered both in and out. Windows have been fixed. Please what's the next thing. Is it to do electrical before ceiling... Or can I fix doors, do tiling work with plumbing before fixing the electrical work and ceiling. The soak away has been dug but hasn't been covered. I plan to do it bit by bit because of money. Also, what should I do if I plan to work on just three rooms because of accomodation issues to finish later. Thank you |
