What is the capacity of this setup? Explain the capacity. The battery is rated as 12.8v 100ah. Multiplying this together will give a capacity of 1,280wh (watts-hour) or 1.28kwh (kilo-watts-hour). |

How long will the battery power my load after charge? With a capacity of 1,280wh, you can theoretically calculate the backup time you will get from the full charged battery based on your load by dividing 1,280wh by your load in watts. How long will it take the charger to charge up the battery from depletion (10.5v) to full charge (14.6v)? The charger is a smart lithium charger rated as 12v 20Amps (A) 14.6v. Can I use the battery while charging? Is there an advantage to this? You absolutely can. It is safe and even convenient to do so. It may even happen without your immediate knowledge, such as at night while you are sleeping and enjoying the fan in the bedroom or during the day when you are seeing your favourite TV show in the sitting room and PHCN grid light comes on, the charger picks up charging immediately without any manual intervention from you. As long as the ratings of the appliances currently in use at the time are not more than the watts equivalent of 20A (the maximum charging current of the charger), then whatever amps the charger brings in will be split between powering your load and charging the battery. If your appliances are exactly 20A or even more, then the whole input from the charger and even extra from your battery will be drawn to power your load. |

Can i charge with grid (nepa or gen)? Yes you can. Thats the essence of this offer. Just ensure that you are getting an AC voltage of more than 200v at least. Thankfully, the charger can work at voltages as low as 180v, but note that the lower the voltage, the longer it will take the charger to charge up the batter |

How do you mean by some of the devices having an "allowance"? This means that some devices in the setup are sufficient to meet your current power needs, and will also be sufficient for likely upgrades you may make in the medium term. For example, the inverter is rated a continuous capacity of 1500w. If you eventually need to power even up to 2 deep freezers or need to power your 0.5hp pumping machine on an emergency basis, it will serve the purpose perfectly, and you won’t need to consider upgrading the inverter Please do not ask for a lower size inverter. What informed your choice Charger? The charger is a 12v 20amps intelligent lithium battery charger with a coloured indicator light. When charging, the light turns red and it charges the battery up to the recommended maximum voltage of 14.6v, after which it stops charging on its own and the indicator light turns green. It has the 24v and 48v variants It takes the charger 5hours 14minutes to charge up the battery from depletion (10.5v) to full charge (14.6v), if it is not in use while charging. The charging time will usually be longer if the battery is in use while being charged because the charging input will be split between powering your load and charging the battery.
