I think men only care because they fear the loss of pristine virgin vaginas, the scarcity of pure brides for marriage. You know, because they only see women as a commodity to be preserved until needed - not a human being with a sense of style and a beautiful being that just wants to try out so many ways of looking good, enjoying fashion trends until they outgrow them.

On the other hand some men promote this kind of thinking, because they need it as an excuse to prey on little girls. There are some women who erroneously believe young ladies dress that way to seduce their husbands or snatch their boyfriends. You can't tell me you haven't come across such women.

Many women are also involved in the same kind of behaviour you're condemning "many men " for.

Women are the ones who even take it to the extreme in Nigeria. You can easily confirm this yourself by dressing scantily and go shopping in any of the local markets around you, and experienced first hand the reaction of your fellow women to your dressing. You won't be able to stand it . Some bold ones would even offer to cover you with their headgear or anything else as you move around the markets.

Recently a young lady who visited a local market in Nigeria, described how she was harassed and embarrassed by women there who forced additional clothing on her because they thought she wasn't properly dressed. The story was on the front page of this Forum. You can Google it to confirm.
