Faith doesn’t prevent life’s challenges it carries you through them!
David said, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.” He didn’t say God would remove the shadow of death, but he was confident that the Lord was with him.
Through Isaiah, the Lord said, “When you walk through the fire, I am with you.” He didn’t promise to take the fire away but to be with us in it, feeling what we feel and comforting us.
When Jesus faced His own fire, He cried out, “Father, why have You forsaken Me?” Yet, He didn’t disappoint God. He went through death and won a victory for us, so we could be called children of God how amazing!
In Paul’s case, the Lord told Ananias that He would show Paul what he must suffer for His sake. And Paul truly suffered facing death multiple times, beaten, imprisoned, and assaulted. Paul went through immense trials for the gospel. In the end, he said, “Let no one trouble me, for I bear on my body the marks of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Today, some motivational pastors might disagree with Paul’s suffering. They might have forsaken the Lord and made a podcast about it if they endured even half of what Paul faced.
I don’t know what you’re going through right now or what you’ve said about it. But hold on don’t give up. The Lord’s salvation is nearer than you expect.
We will soon share stories of how we overcame. My question to you, dearly beloved, is: Will you be there?
With tears in my eyes, I pray for you and your household may you never miss the rapture.

People should just try and be realistic with their Faith

A particular Christian denominations house was on fire, instead of putting off the fire, the person decided to be praying until the whole house was raised to dust

Life is full of difficulties and the consciousness of death makes all things hopeless! For Eternity, it is unknown! Eternity in where? No mortal transforms into immortal!

Somethings in life happens even after praying and with strong faith. This isn't because God can't answer or solve the problem but can we then say it's the will of God ?

True. Jesus told his followers that there will be tribulations.

John 16:33
@I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

So anyone who says otherwise is a motivational speaker!

We will face tribulations but overcome them in the end, since Christ overcame the world, too.

I want to know how to prevent life challenges

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL
BY PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

FRIDAY MAY 23RD 2025

THEME: LIFE IS A CHALLENGE

MEMORISE: The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. Proverbs 12:24

READ: Ecclesiastes 12:1-7
1 now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:

3 In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened,

4 And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low;

5 Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:

6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

MESSAGE
An author once said, "Life is a challenge; meet it." I would even go further to say, "Rise above it." Nowadays, however, many young people are seeking a 'soft life'; there is nothing like a soft life. When I was in secondary school, my teacher taught me that every human being brought a pillow into this world, which must be used before we leave. If some people choose not to use the pillow when they are young, they will definitely use it when they are old. According to my teacher, that pillow represents hardship.

If young people choose to put aside pleasures and go through the hardship of discipline to study, work hard, and nurture the right relationships in their youth, they will enjoy their old age. However, if they choose to party and play around in their youth, when they are old, they will either be lonely or have no choice but to work hard to make ends meet. What my teacher called a pillow is what the Bible calls 'the yoke' in Lamentations 3:27: It is good for a man that he bears the yoke in his youth.

Note that the Scripture above does not say 'a yoke', but "the yoke'. In other words, every individual has a yoke, and it is good for that person to bear it in his or her youth. People who don't want to bear the yoke in their youth are lazy people.

Some people are born into royal families, but they may never have the opportunity to rule if they are lazy. Who, then, is qualified to rule? Anyone who wants to rule must be ready for hard work. Those who want to rule must be ready to bear the yoke in their youth. If you want to live a soft life in your youth, then you are not ready to rule. Ruling is hard work, and it is only the diligent that will bear rule, as today's memory verse tells us. There is no easy road to success; the fact that a fellow was born by a successful person does not mean that the person will succeed in life. If you are a youth and you want to reign in life, shun laziness. You must also your creator in the days of your youth before the difficult days come (Ecclesiastes 12:1). You don't own your life; take up your cross and follow Jesus so that it can be well with you all the days of your life.

KEY POINT
Those who rule and reign in life are those who are diligent.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: NEHEMIAH 8-10

HYMN 28: GUIDE ME, O THOU GREAT JEHOVAH
Guide me, O thou great Jehovah
pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but you are mighty;
hold me with your powerful hand.
Bread of heaven, bread of heaven,
feed me now and evermore,
feed me now and evermore.

2 Open now the crystal fountain,
where the healing waters flow.
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
lead me all my journey through.
Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer,
ever be my strength and shield,
ever be my strength and shield.

3 When I tread the verge of Jordan,
bid my anxious fears subside.
Death of death, and hell's Destruction,
land me safe on Canaan's side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises
I will ever sing to you,
I will ever sing to you.

True. Challenges are there to test our faith and become ladders for our all round growth.

Matthew 7:24-27 KJV
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
[25] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

[26] And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

[27] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Isaiah 43:2 BSB
When you through the waters, I will be with you; and when you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched; the flames will not set you ablaze.

HAVING JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD IS THE SURE & ONLY FOUNDATION TO WITHSTAND THE CHALLENGES OF LIFE.

Carry your message of doubt and hopelessness out here. The message you quoted is the message of hope to followers of Christ. Jesus has conquered the death for us. He died and rose again, and came with message of hope to those that believe Him.

Jesus never lied for once. All he said and says are always through, he has told us he went to prepare places for us and promise is eternal reign with Hom after leaving this world. If you read too much literatures written by humans that is disturbing you ND steal believe in your incarnation or whatever you called it; that is your problem.

But, I bring the same world of Hope to you to come to Jesus that is ever faithful. He did not sugar quoted anything to his followers, he told them many things that are happening today and said his followers will be hated because of Him, and will even put some to Jail. He already told christians to take their stand because they will face many persecutions and troubles.

So, Christians should be happy and persist till you overcome to own challenges laid along your paths. Jesus is real and speaks to His people, if you choose to become an theist because of too much movies you watch, that is your problem; but I offer you appeal to reconsider your journey and come to Jesus Christ before you end up had I known after this life. I am saying it again to your ears, Jesus is real and aways faithful. He never lied for once, be wise!
