I have been in the UK for some time now and having seen how the job market works and what goes on here and where the government has weak spot on. I can say this. Please go for science courses. Such as: Nursing Dentistry Any health related course. Engineering courses Avoid anything management or art courses by all means. You might say you are not a science student. The good news is that you can study nursing with just your art Bsc degree. As a nurse in the UK you are open to all hospitals and care home begging for nurses here and there. Even before your graduation you must have been sent to all most all NHS hospitals around your location for placement. Please avoided arts we made this mistake but now see clearly. Am now on another nursing program having done one course that i have sent hundreds of applications but just one or two interviews. Please and please NURSING or any related courses that improve life. Leave hospitality management, project management Businesses management Sustainability management ing Philosophy Global logistics supply Human resource management History and international stuff Global transport and supply Supply chain management International businesses relations And their likes. These courses are great but they are short in demand or job vacancies are not available at all |

004gist: But courses you study in UK doesn't really matter as you can be integrated in many sectors irrespective of your course of study. |
004gist: 3:33pm On May 24 |
ahmedio2017:How u want take integrate without certificates of sponsorship? What i meant is that to get a job that gives COS then go for Health course... Nursing. Or put it like this To integrate properly n get legal status study nursing or vital health courses Note u can get anyhow jobs.. But once that job is not on skill shortage list then after ur current visa u leave the country. To sponsor u alone cost anything from 12k pounds but if uts healthcare its cheap because government waved healthcare charges. Only few companies are willing to spend 12k for just juniors staff except top staff or senior staff if they chose to. COS is a big issues here as many graduates are running here n there looking for it before the expiration of their current visa. |

004gist:The vast majority studied these courses you are telling them to leave. Interesting thing is none has left the UK because they couldn't get COS. How do you explain this? |
004gist: 5:49pm On May 24 |
Tjra: Once ur student visa expires u have option to switch to post study. . Post study is 2 years. Now after post study u dont get COS then u leave. So why its important u place ur self in a better position by studying relevant courses that they really want with job offer already waiting for you rather than one which the certificate can't get u nothing in the country The government recently said they will extend the time it takes to get permanent resident status to 10 good years however they will not increase it for nurses, doctors engineers and high skills individuals. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Pls, while advising you should not undermine the role interrest, ability and ion plays in choosing a carrier path. People should not choose a carrier path based on the ease of securing a stay through a particular occupation. Nobody should force him or herself into an occupation he or she is not interrested in or have ion for, because you may even land yourself in trouble doing this. |

OkanlawonB: PLEASE!!! Leave Interest & ion one side. The countries you're immigrating to are telling you that they prefer people with STEM backgrounds and you're talking sheet ![]() ![]() ![]() If you want to pursue your interest and ion, remain in your country. It's useless talk like this that made Nigeria raised generations of unskilled people in the last 30 years where many became Criminals, Terrorists, Bandits, Prostitutes, Corrupt government officials etc People should embrace Health Sciences, Mathematics, ICT, Engineering, Skills Trade and Agricultural Studies, these are what the developed countries are looking for ![]() ![]() ![]() 2 Likes |

babakb: 9:00am On May 26 |
Tjra: They all leave after 2 years post study, the 2 years post study has been reduced to 18 months now. Though, they can choose to relocate to other countries through PHD Studies. |

OkanlawonB: If ur ion is to study business istration or management or historian then u should stay in Nigeria n practice your profession. While running from doing ur profession here? Well am referring to those who want to use school to escape Nigeria not those who want to study their ion courses n return back to practice in Nigeria. But if u want to study... Stay back to get permanent residence then u should study health courses... Number one i know is NURSING People are studying French, Spanish etc to immigrate to Canada while learning French is never their ion... Bro anything to stay back leave ion you don't need to have a science degree. Just ur art degree you can do a master in nursing n still pay same fees u spend studying ur dream art courses. Currently it takes over 12,000 pounds for companies to sponsor just one international staff outside care sectors. That's 5 years visa still yet company are still struggling to foot that bill. Now govt now increase the years to 10 years. How many companies can foot that bill? If u are in healthcare sector as a nurse then the government said its remain 5 years. And mind u its cheaper to sponsor as u don't pay the yearly 1k pounds for heath insurance plus others fees waved A word is a enough for the wise. 1 Like |

004gist: You are not paying £££££ to park shit, its not the same as paying a lot of money to study a course you have no interest or ion for. If every single foreign student jump into medical or tech course within a short period that area becomes saturated. One of the reasons why we have a lot of graduates with no job is because many studied a course that sounds fancy and lucrative even when they don't have what it takes to comes out with good result. 1 Like |

004gist: You are wrong, a lot of people have the ion for care job, many love looking after elderly people. Before the introduction of COS and recruitment of foreign workers, caregivers were mainly done by people with papers. |

ahmedio2017(m): 6:56pm On May 26 |
babakb: The question is, is it everybody that will study nursing? In no time it will be saturated and become less attractive... I think you need to unlearn somethings for calling me an ignorant. |

ahmedio2017: Is that your concern? A lot of Indians, parkis etc are on this field. It will be unwise if our people keep taking courses that wont guarantee them jobs. Why waste 20k pounds to study supply chain management or project management when u can't use the degree to work in UK ? 1 Like |

babakb: You can see his excuse or fear... "Na everybody go do nursing " If u read the article well i mentioned science courses that revolve around health . Funny thing is that no British will pay this big money to study this courses. Go to various universities visit their business departments it's mostly Nigerians 1 Like |

CalebClinton:. Great course brother my emphasis is mainly against Art courses... Management and their branches... Historian, philosophy and their like not STEM |
babakb: 6:16am On May 27 |
ahmedio2017: Nursing, Medical Doctor, Engineering, ICT, Skills Trade like Truck Driving, Welding, Plumbing, Carpentry, Crane/Dozer/Excavator/Forklift Operators can't be saturated. Every country in the world is looking for professionals from these fields 👆 All the Management and Arts courses don't have any immigration value again, don't waist your 20k pounds on them. 1 Like |
