Not everyone installs it by themselves, and how can an average adjust it once installed on a roof.

To some it is worth it to others itsnt
Any that can climb roof and install gen2 himself will find it easy to install gen3 with the manual adjustment.
Any who can't install gen2 and needs someone to do it for him, will still need someone to help him install gen3.

You made it seem as if gen3 is harder and that some who could install gen2 themselves may not be able to install gen3 coz of the manual adjustment. That's false.

This still proves that the marketing price of over 50k+ on the gen2 isn't logical in any sense.

It's not my business sha. God bless the hustle of those selling them.

Please can I buy a starlink in the UK and use it in Nigeria. What are the steps that needs to be taken if I am buying in the Uk and to use in Nigeria?

Im not going to argue with you over what i have experienced. its 590k from starlink for the v3 kit + 36k for shipping and handling and i listed it at 600k is that not a good deal. And 650k for the actuated v2 kit which they no longer sell which was their best selling kit and still in demand from customers, should i sell it for less

its a free market in a capitalistic economy, if you feel it should be less get v2 kits and sell it for 500k.

God bless your business.

All that matters is your service address. Plus why buy it in the Uk by the time it gets here wherever you want to use it may be out of activation slots.

Gen 3 is very easy to install cus it has wider field of view and than the Gen 2 less obstruction problem just like the mini that can even connect to Satellite even inside a car with small Sun roof or dashboard

I never said it isnt bro. undecided

And like i said to some it is worth it, to others itsnt

Those that prefered V3 but worried about the absence of the motorised technology, the reality is that my motorised V2 has not changed the direction it was facing for 3 years now. So for gen 3 s you won't be turning your dish every week or month.

As far as you are locked on position it won't turn again

It’s cos it’s cheaper here if I have to buy off Facebook marketplace

Correct

That's correct
toluxa1(m): 4:41pm On May 07
Oem18:

Because it is the kit that could adjust itself automatically unlike gen 3 and mini which can't

This is actually not the reason the Gen 2 is more expensive. The market is just looking for a reason, hence this narrative. I have and sell both too, my Gen 3 is 590 and Gen 2 is 630k. Prices will re-adjust in the comings weeks/months.

Starlink introduced an Outside Region Fee in August 2024.
https://www.starlink.com//article/ff3e270d-5436-542c-6e20-a3738a6cae30

So you may be asked to pay Outside Region fee to activate the device bought from the UK here in Nigeria.

Completely new to StarLink. What's the catch? Do I need to buy anything else apart from this?

Thinkunltd: 12:37pm On May 08
I bought the Starlink mini 3days ago from Starlink website and it was delivered the next day to Delta. Glad I didn’t go and buy from vendors cos time was against me and I needed it fast to travel with so I approached vendors and they said 570k..I just shun it and went ahead and place the order on the Starlink website at 354k.

I would like to know too. If yes, then it is a good business strategy - crash the price of hardware to get more people to buy, then make more revenue from monthly subscriptions

Mini kit is different from the Standard kit.

So he's going to get the complete Mini kit for that amount he paid.

The price of the Standard kit wasn't slashed, it still remains 590k, they also launched the smaller Mini kit which is now available on their site.

The two options are available when you want to place an order on the site.

i have the standard v2 at home stationed on my roof, but I’m a frequent traveler due to my job and sometimes it takes me to network dead zones so i needed a more portable that can fit the , hence the reason for the mini
