It’s a great car, good buy also, just be wary of the gearbox, go with someone who can adequately inspect the car. When you do get it use the recommended tranny fluid for that car, very important it’s a CVT gearbox and that where things go south in (relation to our maintenance culture)

Between honda accord 08 i4 and Toyota Avalon 08 V6, which should I go for considering these points.
1) I travel from Lagos to Anambra once every month ( to and from)
2) maintenance and parts
3) resale value, in case I want to upgrade later
Thank you for your contribution

So guys, I need your input on this. I am planning to buy a Pontiac Vibe 2005. But the recent reports of stolen Pontiac Vibes, they scare me. So, I think of maybe if I buy the car, then I will install GPS tracker which has engine immobilizer. And also that security which I have to press some buttons on the car before I can start it up and move. So, do you think that will suffice in securing the car or should I look for another model? Maybe because what I want is something like Vibe, spacious, which I can carry a lot of stuff. So, my other alternative option was Toyota Matrix 2005 model. I heard they have engine immobilizer, a key sensor, which Pontiac Vibe lack. So, what do you think? Should I just buy the Pontiac Vibe and install the two security? And also steering lock, or should I just look for another different car?

Toyota corolla 2013 reliable? I've been seeing check engine signs and airbag signs on dashboard.

They are quite reliable, but this particular one with check engine and airbag signs doesn’t just cut it

Getting tired of seeing so many "2018 Range Roger Evoque or 1995 Toyota Corolla, which one should I buy?" posts.

The goal of this thread is to hold all the comparison posts, and also for those looking for car recommendations. [s]Especially since Nurey no wan follow directives. [/s]

When looking for a recommendation, please state your budget and the purpose of the car. Factors you're concerned with (fuel economy, luxury, design, drive ability, tech features, etc) should also be stated, as well as any questions you may have.

Hopefully the Cartalk gurus will have an answer for everyone. I'll try as much as possible to help with the little I know, too.

Should one go for the 2016 Gle450 coupe or the 43 AMG.
I don't see any difference between these 2 cars, just the badging difference.

Any contribution on this please?

Pretty sure they're the same damn car. Don't think the AMG badge is worth the extra money.

Yes there is, but you’ll just have to search, also clean title vehicles don’t come cheap. Lastly,
Just make sure you are able to carry out pre inspection and a car fax on the said car.

Yes. Depending on the vehicle you're looking at I can point you to at least one person I've dealt with on here that I can trust for that.

Calculusx here on Nairaland if you want clean title. He doesn't have that year in stock but, if you can wait for a pre-order, trust me, you won't regret it.

I've transacted with him twice and will recommend him anyday.

Hello guys, can anyone tell me about Hyundai Santa Fe 2012 model. I want to get a car for my dad and I am seriously considering the car since the price of a Toyota these days is crazy. 2010 Toyota Highlander is being quoted for 16-19m by most vendors so I am just looking for a cheaper alternative. The Hyundai Santa Fe looks appealing to me and fits well with my budget. I’m buying it tokunbo. So any information about the car regarding reliability, durability and service cost will be appreciated. Thanks.

Avoid the v6, firstly they have bad reviews and my first hand experience on that vehicle was an engine knock without any prior signs according to who was driving, as for the turbo 4 cylinders in not really a fan of Hyundai engines, they are very fragile and very expensive when things go south. the engine when we procured it was about 2.6m ( quite outrageous) I included a picture for reference
